I asked for some fabric paint on freecycle, thinking that someone might have a couple of bottles of kids tshirt paint I could finish up for them, my girls wanted to do some crafty things this summer and t shirt painting was one of them......a very kind lady replied and I went to pick up some yesterday.

oh my goodness! look what I got!

most of these are full bottles, glitter, peal, 3d, all sorts! it turns out that the lady used to paint ladies clothes for a local craft fair!

I think this could be a new idea for the school fairs, making designs of kids tshirts, but I do need abit of advice....I've decided to give a fair amount of it to mags to have a go at, but I was wondering if anyone here had ever used them before, I wonder weather sponging over stencils would work, or painting on with brushes...(it does say that on the bottle) I am looking forward to having a go with the kids cause even if they use up a couple of bottles there is tons more! yey for freecycle!

Catherine you jammy so and so? That is one very kind lady.
I use Tulip fabric paint a lot in my cardmaking, it is wonderful.
It will also go ontop of your encaustic artwork.
They have lovely fine tips for precise positioning ofwhat you want to do.
Is that some stickles bottles too? ( they are glittery glues that are brilliant in any crafts).
Sponging with the glittery ones would be fine, as will applying with a brush.
Have fun. Poppy

yup you can use them with stencils or paint them on with a paintbrush or if they don't have a fine tip applicator bottle you can use a fine tip cake icing one for lines. You pretty much use them like you would an acrylic paint. I would wait at least a week for it to thoroughly dry. I also always put waxed paper underneath as it can dry and end up sticking on whatever you're painting on.

use a brush or the bottle for the 3d ones cos otherwise it won't e 3d.
If you are making your own designs I found that a overhead projector sheet cut with a stanley knife works really well and general designs can be used again and again, :band:
