well I havent uploaded my pottery for ages, mainly because I spent last term at collage trying to make coiled mugs, but they seem to turn out the size of tea cups when fired ;) and as there is no way I can throw mugs yet, I have to make do with very small cups of tea :groan

here is my latest project.

its a tree trunk tea light and candle stand/holder.

its coiled with the deatails added anferwards. its drying out and will have to be fired when I go back to collage at the end of september.

I hope it doenst break, get dropped or blow up in the kiln as it has taken months to do. You can only add about coils at a time, so it took weeks just to make the trunk.

That looks lovely Magz, will it be that colour when fired or are you going to put a coloured glaze on it (not sure of pottery terms) bet it will look really nice when finished and all lit up. :thumbup;

thanks folks,

I think that I shall glaze it clear, so it will be a terracotta shade with a clear glaze over the top :crossed: thats if it survives its first firering. :crossed:

its a master piece, I just hope it dosnt get damaged in the school, Id be tempted to go to Clayman ( local pottery suppliers) and ask how much they charge for a fireing....)even if you take it to college buscuit fired it would stand more of a chance!

bravo sis! :faint:
