Hi Willow Your card looks great, I always find male cards to be a lot harder to do and this is brilliant Sally

Thanks Sally and Steve. Sally I think you are right about making cards for men, they can be difficult especially when you are looking for a particular hobby or interest, the good thing with decoupage is that there are now a lot of lovely prints around for the men and boys and if you get the step by step, they don't take very long to do. Steve you are so right, it looks as though the biker is jumping right out of the card and off the shelf it is standing on
You can get some great effects with the 3D decoupage.
I found a nice Three Dimensional Decoupage book in the library this morning by Vivien Crook so I am hoping to find some good hints and tips in it and hopefully learn a bit more about the art/craft. Eileen

Sally I didn't paint the background, the picture is already painted for you, you cut it out and stick it on some card then build up the image from other parts of the picture starting from the back and working towards the front, if you buy the step by step decoupage papers they tell you what part of the picture to cut out and stick on they are easy to do. On this card the part under the rider I think is meant to be a gravel path. Eileenx |
