First a card using some of my lovely new tatting (not saying my tatting is lovely, mre that I love doing it!) which was my husband's birthday card

ANd then one which was basically a colouring-in job using some oriental outline stickers, but has come out looking so myuch morethan that IMHO. And it's nice to be able to use someone's name on a card when it is so unusual, I think

they're both lovely. I really like the oriental with the name, that is sharp.

Poor J has put up with shuttles hooks and balls of thread everywhere, sulks when pieces kntted themselves up...I thought he deserved one of the successes ;)

The oriental one sort of came together bit by bit...First I stuck the outline stiker to the blue and cut it out, then decided it needed some colour. Then I wanted some corner bits, and decidedthey should be coloured to match. I found the hand and thought it rounded the main fan off nicely, and finally decided rather than happy birthday, a personalisation would look nice...

I believe some people actually design their cards, but mine sort of grow...
