A colleague commissioned an egagement card with no indication of colour, style or anything, so I made two quite different. Wasn't feeling too inspired, but a kit my mum gave me with some bits and bobs in started me off!! She chose the blue themed one

:groan I think I would have chosen the blue one too! The red one will be OK for a Valentine crd if you get asked for one.
Strangely enough I rarely put the lilies on wedding or engagement cards, I use them on Sympathy cards, but they are stunning as a bouquet. :thumbup;

Good to see you crafting Kim :huggy:

I agree with Jo the blue is lovely and the red one would make a great Valentines day card :thumbup;

Oops, I forgot that lilies are usually sympathy!! We had roses and orchids on Friday for dad's funeral flowers, not a lily in sight. Yellow roses as he had those in his wedding buttonhole (and no carnations, as he hated them... hence yellow roses for the wedding) and orchids because he adored growing them the last 20 years or so, and has a huge collection!

:huggy: My daughter had lilies in her bouquet - which didn't help her sister as all flowers give her hay fever! So we had a sneezing bridesmaid!
Sorry to hear it was your Dad's funeral on Friday. How lovely choosing his special flowers, and how clever he must have been to grow orchids for so long, they really have only become available quite recently for the ordinary person, before that it was a really clever green fingered person who grew them.
Thinking of you. :huggy:
