Waxing onto Dufex pictures at all? I wondered if anyone has already done this and how did they come out? ALSO, Dufex make fantasy stickers, i wondered if anyone had tried cutting and incorperating those gorgeous shimmering unicorns and fairies into there work? Maybe this is something Maria may be have already done? Hugs Poppy |

I did iron some wax onto Dufex materials a few years ago. As far as I remember, the dufex stuff just delaminated and curled up into a mess; I'll try it again when I get around to it. |

, notice got you all to try it first before i ruined mine?LOlSeriously Barry, did it curl a lot? I thought it would take the wax if it was just touched lightly? I was wondering about the stickers sticking to the wax also? I tried to stick Flowersoft to encaustic today but the PVA glue wouldn't stick to it? I had this idea that Flowersoft would look good as tiny 3D flower spikes in the foreground? Maybe super glue may work better( but i am keeping my hands freeof that stuff?) Hugs Poppy |

Sorry Sally, Dufex ids like engraved coloured foil that shimmers in different lights. Really beautiful, i just wondered if it would look good stuck onto or waxover at the edges to create a cave with the body of the dufex paiture showing?Cannot think of any glue that would stick Flowersoft stuff to wax? Poppy, liquid wax is very good glue; if you dare to lay your waxed card (face-up) on the upturned iron, perhaps you could just sprinkle your Flowersoft stuff, remove the card from the iron and if there was enough wax in that area, it should set and hold the flowersoft in place (maybe?) Barry |

Hello again Poppy, I tried waxing on dufex again today. It'just about possible, if you keep the iron-heat right down as low as possible; even then, you're still likely to cause damage (wrinkling of the top surface) unless you're very quick to get the heat away again. The Dufex stickers seem to stick to wax OK - the one I've tried hasn't fallen off in the first 24 hours anyway. |

Hi Barry, sounds promising? what does it look like? I wonder if the stylus may be better to paint ont the dufex with? Less heat and quicker to take off? I have gone and tidied up my craft room and lost mt dufex??? So can't try it untili find it?LOL Hugs Poppy |

I'm afraid I cheated slightly with the signature Steve And are you referring to the antique or the Witless or the waxiness?
