Hi everyone
just a question when using a 3 fold aperature card with decoupage do you put the first layer inside the aperature then stick the card together so it looks like a normal card then carry on with the rest of the decoupage layers(hope this makes sense) hugs to everyone Sonia |

Sonia, I'd certainly be inclined to mount the decoupage so that it comes up through the aperture
Mind you, I'm no card maker

I think you could do it that way? I have never tried though, but it should work like that, providing you don't get silicone glue on the outside, maybe you could use the tidier and less messy option of the doubel sided spacer tabs instead? I don't do much decoupage, i find it a bit teadious cutting all those tiny bits etc, even though i do far more teadious crafts?LOL One thing abut sticking the base bit in the 3 fold card first , it does cut out the possibility of doing the sticking wrong then finding you have stuch the 3 fold back to front or upside down? You'll be pleased to know i used t do that on a regular basis with cross stitch!!! In fact that's how i think cross stsitch got it's name? You got so cross with it? Hugs Poppy |

I love the explanation for Cross stitch Poppy!I usually mount decoupage on a backing card as I never seem to have the right size of aperture card. I'm sure you could do it the way you are suggesting Sonia as long as all the bits you are adding to are showing through the aperture. |
