Sorry i don't remember the thread this was on?
 About 3 weeks ago Steve put a link on here to a well known web shop, which i also don't remember the name of, but makes papercrafting dvd's and sells on C&C? ( they sell the Crafters Companion? Anyway there was a form to fill in to send for our free papercraft dvd. I now wonder if anyone got this free papercraft dvd, as i just got a catalogue through the post but NO Dvd?  Have we been had? Poppy, I was about to update the original thread
Nothing about this is clear at all, as from all reports, I know of nobody who received a free CD
 I know of only one person who received an email response to their question, too
They were informed that the offer was over subscribed and Crafters Companion "regretted" that they had "missed out" on the offer :ph43r: The inference is clear, but shows that they have severely underestimated demand and won no friends by not letting anybody know if they won't be receiving the promised CD! :angry: I can understand the underestimation (to some degree) but the lack of communication is very poor indeed!As a matter of interest, we received absolutely nothing! When I posted the link, I did so in good faith, but I most certainly won't be alerting anybody to the company's "offers" in future :angry: Steve  |

Steve in no way do I blaim you? You were acting in good faith as always, and an offer of a free dvd/cd is always worth passing on.  I remember I did that with the offer of a free painting dvd. I wonder if it was a marketing ploy of some kind, yes there would have been some cd's initially, BUT i wonder if getting their catalogue out to as many people as possible was the real reason to get us to sign up? They did say in the one response I know about that they sent them out on a "first come" basis, but they should at least have let folk know they wouldn't be getting one
To not communicate with people and then to have the audacity to send out catalogues.... <_< Steve  |

Hi Poppy  I received a catalogue this morning but no dvd,to be honest i was quite disappointed.I think it was a marketing ploy,still got something to read with my coffee(and donut) hugs to all Sonia |

I haven't received the DVD or a catalogue! And I think I had sent for mine before Steve put it on here, from an email from a friend, but sent again to be sure! It certainly doesn't reassure people on buying from them does it? :angry: |

Apparently, some folk are getting emails to say that the free CDs have all gone! This is then updated with the fact that you can buy one for £4.99 and get a voucher for that sum off your next purchase
 Whether everybody will get the email, or only those who chase them, is another matter <_< Steve |

Hi Steve I had a email today about the cd for 4.99,tried ordering it but its saying coupon can not be found.have rang them to order, explained about the ordering problem and they dont know whats going on,so they are going to ring me back,will add another reply when i hear from them hugs to all  sonia |

Just received my email and I didn't hassle them! I notice you have to pay £1 postage too (if under £10 I think), not sure if I want to go ahead as the choice is limited at £4.99. Wheras if I'd received the sample I would have known how good they are and if I wanted to buy some <_< |

Hi all have just had a phone call back and tried again to order online with no luck,so took my order over the phone,i've seen these cds demonstrated on create and craft and they look very good but have always been put off buying one by the price of 14.99 for one cd and nearly 5.00 p&p,so for 4.99 and 1.00 for p&p plus a redemption coupon for 4.99 cant be bad hugs to all sonia |

 Guess that's significant
 When I figured out how to use the code, I must admit I wasn't too impressed with what was on offer The price is fair enough, as such, but I've had very mixed reports on what you get for your money
I know they've been on Create & Craft, but somehow they never really make it clear how the CDs work or anything else
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts when you get your CD Sonia Steve |

As i suspected from the start I think this has been one big marketing ploy?
From what i have heard , i think it was on imagination or somewhere i wondered into, the cd is just clips from a few of them, a marketing ploy that you have to buy now, instead of it being free(was it ever?) and then buy again to get your money back? I somehow think Trading Standards would be interested in how their marketing ploy is working?  I won't be sending for it! Hugs Poppy |

Hmmm read this thread with interest as on sunday evening I had an email buddy send me the link for the Free Cd ~ so of course I filled in the form and it said I would be receiving my Cd shortly. Sent the link off to a lot of my customers/online buddies who I know are into Crafting and know they too have filled in the form and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their *free* gift ~ spose I best email them and tell them they are highly unlikely to be receiving one! What a con!!! Was looking forward to receiving something FREE  Not received any correspondance from the company to date, but will let you know if and when I do. |

Sonia, i hope the cd will be beter than you hope, and i don't blaim you for saying what we think if it isn't upto scratch? We are behind you. Linda, you won't be hearing just yet as it was bout 3 weeks ago that we sent offf for ours? I haven't got an email as yet but when i do i will be teling them what i think of their marketing ploy! I think it is disgraceful to con thousands into believing they are getting a free cd when they have NO intention of ever sending one in the first place but take the oppertunity to send a catologue which i certainly didn't ask for? Hi all Got my cd today,well on it are..the first one is design sets which you choose from 9 designs,6 colourways,once chosen you can then select whether you want it in backing paper,envelopes,gift tag or bag,notepaper or inserts (which come with a very good verse creator) T bag papers in 4 designs,6 colourways,everyting on the cd can be re sized. T bag backing papers,9 colours Alphabet in 4 designs. Toppers and decoupage in 6 designs. Verse creator,you can select a pre writ verse or write your own (and save it) slot it into the inserts,move it,turn it,squish it,stretch it,change the font,colour,size. I must say i was quite impressed with being able to put the verses into the inserts and then being able to adjust it,have printed out a anniversary insert with lovely hearts on it,looks professional. My opinion very good value for 5.99. Just a bit disappointed now cos i was gearing myself up to send a nice blasty email Hugs to all Sonia |
