hi folks, this is a baby blanket made for the iminent arrival of a friends baby,

its just one big granny square, nothing fancy I'm afraid ;)

Catherine, when you say this is nothing special? I think it is fancy enough in fact it is a great baby blanket. :thumbup;
We used to unravel each baby's old cardigans and make a blanket from them for the baby's first bed like this. They often looked really good, one of mine still has hers, she was a baby blanket toddler, always carried it to comfort her. :hug:

poppy, the white wool has come from a huge pair of knitted leggings that my M.I.L made for my son when he was born. She used the same pattern as when my hubby was a baby, and well, I guess knitted pram sets havent stood the test of time :ph43r: :lol:

I thought that rather than have them sitting in a box of old clothes, I would re-use them. ;)
