I have made a couple of matching stars over the last week and this weekend, I brought a large cone on ebay for 99p of this really lovely yarn, its white with random dobs of grey which fades and goes brown and then red, when you work with it, it sort of self patterns although this is rather a random thing! the first blanket is just plain, the second I jazzed up with a grey stripe here and there. ![]() I am working on a commission at the moment, one of my customers who brought a red white and blue, has requested a blanket made in the colours of an island called ST Vincent, which is off the coast of Miami, the colours are very bolc, blue for the water and sky, golden yellow for the sun, sand and the people's warmth and happiness, and green for the lush vegetation, that needed a trip to the yarn shop as I only really have pastel colours in my stash! I have nearly finished it, pics to follow soon!

They look lovely, a bargain too at that price. Look forward to seeing your commission, it sounds really colourful. |
