I did this as a wedding invitation acceptance card, using Dufex toppers, and in the colours that the invitation was sent in. Really pleased with how it worked, although Dufex isn't brilliant at scanning!!

Lovely, Kim :thumbup; Yes, it's always difficult to get metallics to look right ;)

These are worse, a bit like metallic holograms, apparently though on the same technology as a butterfly wing :eek:

Thanks for the waterfall instructions though, very clear, and lots of other ideas on that site. Might be worth putting as a sticky at the top?

I like some of the Dufex stuff, but some I think can be a bit too much ;) The etched foil surface often reminds me of glitter when it's overdone :)

Good idea :) I'll dig out the link again and pin it :thumbup;

Thank you sonia, you inspired me :huggy:

Steve, I agree about Dufex, you need to use it in very small quantities, otherwise it is rather much! I have some Dufex cards to decorate, but they just overwhelm anything I put on them!!

Kim, could you put a vellum wrap on them, to mute the effect of the Dufex? ;)

Now there's an idea... I've used it on shaker cards to get a more subtle glitter effect.... :ta:

But isn't half the fun of crafting not knowing what will work until you've tried it?

Unless it's the last step in a really major project, of course :groan

Too right Kim :D At least with this one, laying a piece of vellum over some Dufex will give you the answer before getting too far :r

I suspect there are times when Jenny wishes I'd not voice my sudden brainwaves :rlol: :rlol:
