I havent made any socks for ages so I made a couple of pairs this week...

these are going to be one of my entries into the town show!

and this pair is made with fine 3ply wool, using the same pattern as the others but this yarn produced a lacey effect sock!

this was a new pattern for me, the last socks I made you start at the cuff and finish at the toe....these ones you start at the toe and finish at the cuff!!!!

:thumbup; Good luck in the show. I judge Baking at shows but did handcrafts once when they were short of judges!

Which pair are you putting in? I like the blue best as it shows the stitches clearer.

yep Im putting the blue ones in, pluse one white to black fading star blanket and a watercolour painting! :)

Catherine, I stopped wearing homemade socks long go - I'm allergic to real wool - makes me itch like crazy :lolol: My Mum made socks but noon-wool yarns were rare then ;) And they were seldom thin enough to fit inside my shoes :r
