I made this Knot shrug from the happy hooker book, I thought I would go for the medium size, who would have thought that it would be abit big on me! well hoorray for generous sizes in crochet patterns as its turned out better than I thought!! its more of a cardigan than a shug....

I used two strands of 4ply held togther, the patten was very easy to follow and it worked up in two days! ( well, I had to do something whislt at home with a poorly nephew!)

here is my Knot so ugly shurg from the stitch and b**ch happy hooker book!

and here is me wearing it...ok so Im not smiling but hey! my eyes are open for the first time in a photo for ages!!! :$

I am currently working on one for my eldest sister....I have seen these in Marks and spencers and they use a large kilt pin with beads dangling from it to close, rather pretty me thinks so I have ordered a couple of silver pins from ebay to make one to go with!! :)

:thumbup; Looks super Catherine. I bought a black crochet shrug/cardigan similar style to wear on my cruise and it cost an awful lot as doean't look as nice as yours. I think you're in with a winner if you ebay those.
Hope your nephew is better. :huggy:

Catherine i think that looks superb. You look 'trific' wearing it :thumbup; :thumbup;
You should start and advertise your crochet wear and get good money for your talents. Sometimes on ebay people are looking for bargains and don't want to part with too much, BUT your stuff is worth far more. Hope you get GOOD sales.
WELL DONE!!
Hugs Poppy

And made my on knot shrug too, with some lovely wool from an exhibition. Slightly different as mine is shorter and fastened with a tie under the bust.
