I've been playing around with my GCF (Greeting Card Factory) CD and came up with this little scrapbook lay out, you can do scrapbooking as well as the cards and other crafts, it's a really good software programme to try. Also trying to get to grips with it in Paintshoppro which I am finding quite a challenge but enjoyable, think it will be quite a while before I come up with something constructive with that, still trying to make my papers and elements :lolol:

:thumbup; Well done, I never did much with digital scrapbooking, I prefer to work with the bits and pieces.

:ta: Thank you Steve and Jo, I must admit I would like to do more of the scrapbooking in PSP as I think there is a lot more you can do by making your own layouts, elements and wording the trouble is, I don't know where to start first, I can make the initial background papers but when it comes to the others I am stumped and left scratching my head wondering what to do next. :eek: I would like to try making my own brushes and masks for the papers but can't seem to find any tutorials for making these so I'm just playing around and trying my best to create something nice. :big)

Eileen, I'll admit that masks defeat me, at the moment :kb: But brushes are easy enough - just Export the image/shape you want to use ;) I must admit that I tend to use tubes more than brushes, as making these things in picture format seems to suit tubes more :) There are tuts on masks but many are specific to versions of PSP that I don't have :( The Learning Centre (under Help) does have some clearer information though - under Photo :)

I do create templates which I can then recycle over and over, including forms that are commonly used in scrapbooking :) I've even done one for a button :lolol: I just keep them all in a "templates" folder so I can find them :D

I did find a few free tubes on the net which I downloaded I can probably use them for something but must admit they were not the kind I was looking for. I will have to see what images I can find and then try making them myself as you suggested. I do have a tutorial for making a button but haven't tried it yet so might give that a go next, it looks easy enough to do but knowing me :eek: probably isn't :lolol:

Eileen, there are hundreds of tubes available free, though with some restrictions ;) It does take a little while to learn, but how fast really depends on how much you want to succeed :) I had PSP for years but only toyed with it - but then I wasn't designing then - just playing at things without any real purpose ;) Once I really got started, things fell together quite quickly :thumbup;
