[EDIT] ok, gave it a shot, at first glance this looks like a polyalphabetic cipher but i wasn't sure how this would translate given the way you encode the characters (which i still can't do), turns out it translates into a standard polyalphabetic cipher using a standard forward alphabet, ie, Vigenère. since u count up and down again to encode characters you basically double the key length when viewed this way, so when u encrypt a message with a five character key it can be decrypted with standard Vigenère using a ten character key WHEN YOU ARE OLD AND GREY AND FULL OF SLEEP AND NODDING BY THE FIRE TAKE DOWN THIS BOOK AND SLOWLY READ AND DREAM OF THE SOFT LOOK YOUR EYES HAD ONCE AND OF THEIR SHADOWS DEEP HOW MANY LOVED YOUR MOMENTS OF GLAD GRACE AND LOVED YOUR BEAUTY WITH LOVE FLASE OR TRUE BUT ONE MAN LOVED THE PILGRIM SOUL IN YOU AND LOVED THE SORROWS OF YOUR CHANGING FACE AND BENDING DOWN BESIDE THE GLOWING BARS MURMUR A LITTLE SADLY HOW LOVE FLED AND PACED UPON THE MOUNTAINS OVERHEAD AND HID HIS FACE AMID A CROWD OF STARS WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS [EDIT] Ahh, forgot about the first sample...
