The IC is the kappa test, divided by a scaling factor. And yes, we need to calculate it for each slice, then calculate the average for all of the slices, then do it again for the next prospective key length. It's tedious to do it by hand, but it's what computers were invented for. (And I'm not being figurative - it's solving exactly this kind of problem for which the first computer was invented.) |
