Interesting. I think it's part of the whole crypto game. If you know how to break a cipher, you're not going to tell it to everyone, because then its not special anymore that you can crack it. Furhtermore, if you pretend that the cipher is incrackable, but you actually know how to break it, you'll have a significant advantage over your enemy if the cipher is used. |
