Elite member Posts: 263 Group: Admin Member #246 Joined: December 7, 2006	In my reading, I've seen references to an 1807 Encyclopedia article by William Blair, that was a highly regarded source of info on cryptography. A few months ago I tracked down a copy, and arranged to have it scanned. Since then, I've been working (between other obligations) on putting the scans into a form that would be useful to the couple of dozen people who are interested in this sort of thing. If anyone would be willing to critique my intro, I'd appreciate it, and if there are parts of the scan you find difficult to read, point them out to me. Please don't distribute this widely - I'm not happy yet with the image processing, and will be making improvements, partly based on any feedback I get from the forum.
