It's not anything HARD, a very simple trick actually. Also, the quote here is so long that the unusual twist shouldn't really give you much trouble at all. Just a warning, the quote is a few hundred years old, so watch out for archaic words. My apologies for the miscomunication. rot13 is correct that I unintentionally misled people when I said it was a "just a monoalphabetic substitution cipher". The "Trick" involved takes it outside the realm of pure monosub cipher. Not very far out of that realm, but it isn't 99 and 44/100 percent pure monosub cipher. I should have left off the word "just". I think I should have rated this one as hard and the vigenere with word divisions and very strong probable word hints as medium. Donald

I also wondered if the trick was that he had inserted a null character, but that didn't seem to work. I finally tried this particular transposition (something simple) and found a probably pair of words.
