Whoever is in charge of this forum needs to clean up email addresses. Spam harvesters are collecting them.

Here is a piece of spam I received due to the sloppy care of this forum:

This mail has got nothing to do with this forum, nor it's security policy. As for that, I am not in control of it, that's Invision's problem. And I am pretty sure that e-mail adresses in the profile are completely safe from spam, because it has a filter.

This appears to be spam to the Yahoo Cryptanalysis mailing list, which does list a John K. Taber as a member. It may be that you forgot you joined that list, since before the spam message it hadn't had any traffic since March 2005. I don't think it has anything to do with the forum.

If you are going on the fact that that came from this forum because it has 'cryptanalys' in the email address - look at all of the emails on this forum. None of them match. Also - only Admin's can see everybody's email, if you choose to not show it, and the only admin on this forum is revelation.

It is most likely a person who stole your email from somewhere else.

Especially as you haven't registered - it is impossible for us to have your email - unless you gave it to us randomly - and if you are going to acuse this forum of stupid charges - then why even trust us in the first place?

Save this forum from itself and just delete the topic
