"The Voynich MS was discovered and purchased in the Villa Mondragone, near Frascati, Italy, by Wilfrid M. Voynich in 1912. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of this event, a celebration is organised in the same Villa on 11 May 2012. It will take place in the Sala degli Svizzeri, which can host up to 170 people. The event will include presentations, a lunch and coffee breaks, and the opportunity to meet and discuss with fellow Voynich researchers. "

So is the Voynich manuscript a language, or a cipher, or random nonsense? Whatever it is, it has resisted decipherment for 100 years and counting.

You're right! That illustration on page 84 looks like a 20-sided die!

From http://archive.org/stream/TheVoynichManuscript/Voynich_Manuscript#page/n151/mode/2up I don't yet see on p.84 anything that looks like a die.

It was a joke; a reference to Dungeons and Dragons as a response to https://xkcd.com/593/ which was also a D&D joke reference. I have no idea what's on page 84. I didn't look.

You are entirely right in not wasting even a minute to look into that material. Since there is not even an indication/claim of its author that there were hidden messages (compare e.g. the Beale cipher), I wonder though why there are no parallel attempts to decrypt some pieces of graffiti (both ancient and modern ones exist).
