Based on a keyphrase for initial scrambling, and then scrambled as the message is enciphered, either as an autokey, or with a repeating keyphrase. The advantage is that even if the keyphrase repeats, the alphabet order does NOT repeat. It just get more and more scrambled with each repeat of the keyphrase. Try it out.
