What up guys. Listen, I just read steves post as have all of you. Obviously kinda irritated. I talked with him on the phone and its clear to me and him both that there are some questions that some need answered. So anyone who has a question for Doc, ask him yourself. This might help clear the air alot better than random posts. As for whoever is out there talking shit about other people in club, do the rest of us a favor, let it go. If anyone has a question on anything or anyone inparticular. Address the problem with whomever the probem is with. This might help defuse a bad situation and help Doc with his problem.

My father often told me to watch how a man behaves when he has been challenged by rumors, or even physical confrontation. He explained that a man of good character, armed with good sense and emotional restraint, will confidently rise to the occasion and address the situatioin with an appropriate response. He nearly always ends the fight with his dignity in tact and, in the case of a physical confrontation, without having to throw a single punch. Other people of good character recognize this and respect those individuals highly. A man of poor character, on the other hand, is armed only with pride and emotion. When challenged he becomes arrogant and attempts to force his opponent to the same inferior level of emotional behavior. So he nearly always begin with verbal attacks, which, ironically, often have no relavence whatsoever to the situation. The man who keeps his head in this situation always wins. Sometimes the inferior man "thinks" he has won the battle, but only those weaker than him see it that way. Basically its all a matter of who you want for your friends. If you want to impress fools and jerks just act like one. Thats how my old man thought and thats how I think. Steve, you made a positive impression on me when I first met you two years ago. You came across as a positive, bright and spirited individual. I'd like to think that who you are. I don't expect perfection from anyone and fully understand that life often brings on challenges that leave us frustrated and angry. I have been there many times myself and have often fallen far short of the ideals I stated above. So I can relate. But we always have to take responsibility for how our own words, actions, and behaviors affect others and contribute to the problem. You have often tended to be condescending, abrasive, and offensive on this forum. I have often found this disturbing even though you were not directing it at me (or at least I didnt think you were ) I think you would benefit by considering your responses more carefully, especially when you are angry and frustrated. Better to wait, think about how your message is going to be recieved and then respond with a cool head rather than rattle off when you are upset. When you spout off in anger you undermine your own credibility and people will begin to doubt your sincerity and mistrust you. All I know is that things seemed to be headed in a good direction at the beginning of the year. Then...all the sudden nothing. So whatever your gripes are with some of the members, don't let it affect the rest of us who are completely removed from it and would like to stay that way. We just want to ride. |
