"Woah!" She yelped as he snagged her by the elbow, pulling her back to whisper about the teacher.

"Huh. She doesn't seem so bad, but I'll take your word for it..."

Resa started when she saw the bike rolling toward them - that was weird, telekinesis? It would make sense. So then why on earth did he bother running after her? He could have just floated her or whatever it was that he was doing.

"Ride?" She laughed nervously, riding on a bike seemed like a heck of a lot of fun, but tearing around on campus was likely to attract attention.
Still... she'd love to give it a try...
Ah to hell with it.

"Alright, I presume that you can steer this?" She swung up beside him, gripping the seat in one hand and hanging onto Noah's belt with the other. It was only then that she noticed Mark.
"What's he looking so worried about...?"

"Probably nothing. Mark gets pretty skittish, so it might just be that we might have gotten hurt. He's a real good guy though and a true friend." Noah replied, willing the bike into motion and gently pulling them along. Might as well save on gas right? At least on campus.

"That's if he remembers you." he said softly if only to himself.

"So, why were those guys trying to take you out?" he expertly veered around several students and did raised an eyebrow when he saw another student, Anya from the look of it, talking to the delivery woman he'd seen around town. Why she was soaking wet he hadn't the slightest idea though.

"I mean, what, were they jealous that you can fly? I know some people really wish they had that power."

Resa didn't think he would actually use telekinesis for regular travel, and it felt a bit off, without the engine running or anything. She unconsciously tightened her grip on his belt as they whizzed over the grounds toward the nurses office.

"Jealous?" She snorted, "I dunno, you tell me. Would you rather fly or be a telekinetic"
It was clear from her tone that she didn't think much of her ability, flying was generally a pretty neutral skill, and it wasn't as useful as say, climbing walls.
Now that she could use.

"Well most kids here seem to like beating each other up. I'm pretty lucky though, I'm usually faster than they are."

Twisting around in her seat, she could still see Mark, still looking worried. Was there something they didn't know?

OOC: I assume they aren't going very fast xD

OOC: Sorry for the long break >.< and yes, they arn't going very fast, about the speed of a normal bike actually)

"You're faster then they are because you can fly." Noah smiled. "And to answer your question, yes! Heck yes i would take flying over my animation! I never asked for it, but it's what i was born with."

He avoided another cluster of students and carefully looped past one of the freight bots as it slowly wheeled its way toward a loading dock.

Powers were powers, and while Noah did enjoy aspects of his, and could technically fly or at least float given the proper object to animate, there was something he had to admire about the grace of natural fliers.

"To animate things, i have to leave a part of myself in an object, you ever felt what it's like to leave part of your soul in a piece of bent metal? Or a rock? Not the most appealing feeling to be honest." He said with a soft laugh, as he started to relax. "Plus flying is amazing...to be able to freely glide the city's skyline...to be able to just leap into the sky and leave your immediate troubles behind...that seems like freedom to me."

He turned his head to smile at her. "Never knock your blessings."

OOC: *Peeks in* Yeah... things are still slow but here's a post of sorts xD

Resa laughed, "It's not all good, having a five metre wing-span is pretty tough to accommodate, and fleas are murder-" She paused there, her wingtips twitching a little reflexively. "I don't have any now though, don't worry... with the right shampoo..."
She stopped as Noah wheeled the bike around a cluster of students, listening as he described his powers which seemed a great deal more useful than hers...

"I can understand it being uncomfortable, you have no idea how long it took me to have the guts to even take off. But when you're faced with a kid wielding fireballs, wings don't seem like much in comparison."

The medical centre came into sight and she slid down to the ground. "Thanks for the lift, you sure you can walk like that?"

He raised an eyebrow and chuckled. Which said quite a lot with Noah. He smiled and shrugged.

"Well, fleas or not, you can still do things my powers will never be able to match. On top of that, they're perfect for civilian use. Someone plays around with fire, they burn something, Electricity, they fry something. Me? I move, misplace or bend stuff."

He pulled the bike up next to the First Aid center with practiced ease.

"This ol' thing?" he said patting his leg, and somehow managing to keep from yelping, his smile stiffened, if only barely. "Naw, I'll be fine. Few days rest tops." He paused, not quite sure what to say after that.

He smiled again and waved. "Well...take care okay? Keep away from Roger and his pals, but if they give you trouble just give me a ring."

OOC: I'm really sorry guys, school is eating me alive, for whatever that's worth. I'll try not to leave you waiting so long again.
I'm not usually this bad, honest.

Resa raised an eyebrow, she could tell that leg probably needed proper attention.
"Gawd, why are boys so stupid?" She muttered under her breath before grabbing Noah's hand and tugging him off the bike with surprising strength.
"You insisted I come down here, why not follow your own advice?"

And with that, she shoved open the door to the medical centre, one hand firmly clasped around the other boy's wrist, and marched up to the front desk so he wouldn't have a chance to get away.
"Got some burns here, dunno what he's done to his leg but he certainly can't walk on it. Mind helping us out?"

Noah didn't have much time to react, and before he knew it he was dragged into the small office, rather surprised at how strong she was. His cheeks flushed as his eyes darted to her hand on his and suddenly began to take notice as to just how warm it was.

He shook his head, trying to keep his thoughts focused on the task at hand. Which was to say, keep his embarrassment and the very fact that he was embarrassed from both his mind and her awareness. After all, he had just met her and he didn't want to make things awkward, especially when she could make a good recruit for the MC.

He nodded to the nurse on duty. "It's not that bad...um, you should probably check on her wings first. My bruise can wait a little longer."

The nurse gave him a skeptical look then stood up and smiled at Resa. "Of course, just follow me over to the duty station." She led them over to a small bench, with a cabinet next to it. The place really was quite small, as it wasn't supposed to be a full doctor's office, but more of an early remedy and treatment booth.

"Just take a seat and relax." She smiled kindly. "May I see your wings?" Her friendly tone was honest and very friendly.

Resa had her doubts about going first, but in the end she relented and shrugged off her jacket.
Sitting down with her back to the nurse, she stretched out her wings to their full extent, wincing at the tug of burnt skin. A number of her flight feathers were burnt to a crisp, and she was not looking forward to pulling those out...
It probably meant she was going to be grounded for a few weeks too, damn.

"I should learn to carry an extinguisher huh?" She yelped as the nurse yanked the first feather out with a pair of tweezers. This was going to take some time.

This was the part she hated, the nurse clucking and chiding her over things she couldn't help - there's dirt here Miss Jones, you really should be more careful! - did she know how hard it was to clean these things in the shower? It wasn't like she could detach them! But she bit her tongue, looking only slightly disgruntled as the nurse took up a razor and shaved off the blackened feathers.

"There!" The nurse looked annoyingly proud of herself, Resa thought as she inspected her wings, which looked a little chewed with gauze patches everywhere.

"Now then, redress them every morning with this cream here. Now then, let's look to you Mr Wilder."

The boy flinched. His feelings on nurses and doctors wasn't much better then Resa's, though that mostly stemmed from his desire to manage his own problems. He sighed, realizing that having put Resa in a similar situation, he had no right to back out of his own inspection.

Noah stepped over and pulled up his pant-leg, wincing as the cuff brushed the sensitive spot. He blinked in surprise at the size of what he saw. The bruise went up his entire calf.

He looked up at Resa then at the nurse.

"I guess it was worse then I thought?"

The nurse of course, immediately switched to sympathy mode and started inspecting the bruise for any breaks.
Resa for her part, just rolled her eyes and muttered 'I told you so' under her breath, gingerly stretching and flexing her wings a little.

"Hmmm... doesn't look like you've broken it, though I'd recommend an Xray if pain persists more than a day or so." The nurse gave Noah's leg one more poke, handed him some bandages and ushered them out quickly to make room for a small child with a large gash on his forehead.

Resa glared back at the doors, and sighed. "Well, what now?"

Noah eyed the bandages, knowing full well he probably wouldn't use them.

"Well, I could drop you off for your next class if you want. Do you need to go anywhere?"

He was hoping to make things easier, what with her wings on standby, his bike made more sense. The fact was, he was hoping she said she was free, as Noah would make no complaints to stay in her company.

"If not, I was planning on going to Cafe Richard. It's a nice little place to hang out, and she's got some pretty nice food."

It also happens to be our base of operations

"Nope, totally free for the rest of the afternoon." Resa stretched languidly, feeling the kinks in her back straightening out was some relief. "Food sounds good, hope she's got something substantial though - I eat a lot."
And that was an understatement.

Resa walked in front him, hands pushed deep into her pockets, after a while she turned around to see if he was following. "Oh that's right, you can't walk too well. The bike then?"

She would prefer to walk, but she had to think about her companion as well, that bruise certainly looked painful enough and she really didn't think he wanted to be carted around like an invalid. Boys were like that after all, in her experience.

Noah grinned and nodded. "Yup. But only because it would take way to long to walk. The Cafe is on the edge of the slums." His bike rolled over at his unseen command before a helmet drifted up and into his hands.

"Here,"he said with a smile. You'll need this. As a warning, I'm a pretty...outlandish driver, so hang on tight." In one practiced motion the boy swung up one leg and straddled the bike, engine purring like a pleased cat.

Resa caught the helmet and looked at it doubtfully, outlandish?
She supposed he meant fast, so she made sure to tuck her wings in tight under her jacket to make sure they didn't spring open, nothing like wind resistance to knock you off balance, and she wasn't looking for any more accidents today.

She climbed up behind him, and hesitantly put her arms around his waist. Almost a perfect stranger and she was hugging him, she hoped it wouldn't come back to bite her later.
"Edge of the slums huh? That's nice..." And quite possibly shady, where is he taking me?
Noah looked skinny enough, she was pretty sure she could take him, but what if he had friends?
Oh well, life was nothing without a little risk.
