So many things were going on that the redhead had found it a bit difficult to follow just what was happening around her. The next thing she knew there was Mai sitting beside her, the sweet smell of Sven's pipe was smoking through the air from behind, and in the middle of it all was Isaac making what seemed to be a soft-voiced speech about them being friends. Friends... They had all met in some strange way or another, and she supposed Isaac wasn't completely wrong in making that distinction. Indeed every person who was on this roof had a place in her heart; they were her friends without a doubt. Friendship was such a curious thing wasn't it? She shook her head silently at Mai assuring her that her new company was certainly no bother, and leaning back on her hands she took a moment to observe just how the boys were doing themselves. They were such a lively bunch. But what was she to say? Any words that came to mind only seemed out of place to her. So instead she remained silent, her eyes quietly following the interaction around her. |

Mai secretly agreed with Isaac, one could hardly complain about a mild scare when the rewards were so rich. Of course she wasn't entirely talking about the sunset, it had been a while since she'd had a chance to see Anya, and she was enjoying the company. Though she felt a little out of place, she only knew Anya here, and though it didn't really... bother her to be around other people, it was a little bit of a fish out of water situation for her. Sven shifted her books and she saw this out of the corner of her eye, scrambling up with a short cry of dismay and almost tripping off the roof in the process - though she didn't notice. "I'm so sorry! Those must be heavy, I-I don't want you troubling yourself. I-I can manage, really." She gingerly took at least half the books from him - it was up to Sven whether he wanted to pass back all of them, balancing them on her hip. His comment confused her. "Legs....? You mean Mori-sensei?" |

Sven didn't object as Mai took half of her books from him. He wasn't really bothered by the extra weight, but he wasn't going to stop her as long as she didn't try to take the whole stack. He even smirked when she was confused over the little nickname. "Yeah, she's Legs. That one," he pointed at Isaac, "is pup." The punk puffed on his pipe and smirked down at the girl. "You're Mouse now, congratulations." |

Now this was what he was hoping for. Everyone interacting and enjoying themselves. Er, well, at least interacting right? "Pup? Pup?" He clucked, tapping his chin. "Not really sure why I'm pup. I think i'd be more 'HIGH LORD OF ADVENTURE AND TRAVEL' "he added spreading his arms wide and puffing out his chest, wheeling his way around the group, wince slightly as his bruised cheek disagreed with the grin attempting to consume his whole face. "Kneel before your Travel Looooord~!" He bellowed playfully. |

Things just seemed to get louder and louder as the night drew near. Rising from her perch, Anya decided she might as well make an effort to at least attempt to participate as well. "My name is Anya Mori," she said to Sven, making a point as she wrestled the remaining books from the tall teen's hands. "I would appreciate it if you would make the effort to remember it, Mr. Sven." Her eyes then turned to Isaac, or at least attempted to follow his spinning body before giving up and falling to the ground. "Mr. Kurai..." she sighed into her feet. "What happened to your cheek?" |

The boy ceased his spinning and grew quiet for a moment, reaching up to gingerly touch the bruise, but quickly became animated again. "It's nothing. I just had a bad run in with some stairs~!" He laughed, smiling again to help hide the truth. He didn't want his friends to worry about him, and it was much easier on them to believe he had simply fallen down or up some stairs. It was his own problem after all, and they would simply complicate the matter. |

"M-mouse?" The nickname puzzled her, but... she couldn't really object. Was she really that shy...? "W-well um, my name is Mai..." She thought she'd better introduce herself. She was distracted by the younger boy and decided to think about it later. Oh dear, Isaac really shouldn't be spinning around like that, he might fall! "C-careful Mr Kurai um... we are standing on a roof." Had he forgotten? She wouldn't be entirely surprised. Mai didn't believe for a moment the story about the stairs, it would be just the sort of excuse she would come up with herself after all. (Not that she'd ever need to.) She reflexively adjusted her gloves. If Isaac wanted to stick to that story, it wasn't her business to correct him - accidentally or not. " ... maybe you should see the nurse? It looks painful." At the very least he should get an ice pack or something. Edited by Shio, May 3 2013, 08:16 PM.

Sven didn't fight Anya taking the books out of his hands- she could still handle them better than the other girl- but he did give her a look when she corrected him on her name. "I know what your damn name is. Legs is just easier to remember..." He did glance in Isaac's direction to see the bruise, but he kept his mouth shut on the subject. He'd tried talking to Isaac before about bruises, cuts, and scrapes before with nothing to show for it afterwards. Hell, even Emily could almost never get anything out of him. "He'll be fine. Leave him alone about it." |

Anya sighed into the books in her arms, both in response to Sven and Isaac respectively. She couldn't really argue that "Legs" was easier to remember, nor could she argue against Isaac's lie with the risk of hurting his pride in front of the others. "A little bit of effort, Mr. Sven, that is all I ask." Adjusting the weight of the books into a single arm, the redhead then marched up to the spinning Isaac and halted his dance with the tug of his ear. "Do you have access to a kitchen, Mr. Kurai?" Though he may have been stubborn to reveal the cause of his injury, that didn't mean that he could frolic about with it untreated. |

Isaac yelped at the tug on his ear in surprise, mostly because he hadn't expected it. Which wasn't exactly what you would call unexpected as Isaac's penchant for forethought was often on the more minimal side. "Course! Just lemme pull it up on my camera." He rubbed his ear and then quickly began to cycle through the many pictures he kept on his prized tool, finally pulling one up. After that it was barely a moment before a pale blue hole in space and time floated beside the group, and on the other side was said requested kitchen. "What do you want a kitchen for though?" |

"Then I'll start calling you by your real name when you drop the 'Mister.'" What was he, forty? "And if you're planning on me walking through another portal, you're both out of your minds." Sven's pipe was still lit, and he kept at it, much more so than he usually would. He wasn't sure what was eating at him so bad, but the nagging feeling that something wasn't right wouldn't leave him. Maybe he was more worried about Isaac's injury than he first thought... but then again, maybe it was just more of the usual stuff that got to him these days. |

"It will be just a moment," Anya said, pushing Mai's books into Isaac's hands. Then shoving her way past the rip in space she quickly made a bee-line for the freezer in the foreign kitchen. After a quick rummage through the white box she emerged with a small bag of ice. Without regard or question to who may miss it, she stepped back out of the portal and pressed her newly acquired inventory against the flat of Isaac's bruised cheek. "There," she nodded approvingly. "That should at the very least help the swelling." |

There was a considerable yelp that rose from the boy as the icepack was placed against his cheek, more from surprise at how cold the thing was than anything else, his cheeks flushed and he now owned a somewhat subdued version of his normal grin. "Thanks Anya." He added after the yelp, greatful and touched by the friendly gesture. He shifted Mai's books to one arm so he could hold the icepack in place, and shrugged at the others. He had always meant to take care of it, really, he just had never gotten around to it. At least that's what he told himself, as per usual. |
