The ropes creaked as she kicked off from the ground, pulling her legs up to test her weight against them. Her feet scuffed the paving, but the ropes held.

She had set up at the back Dazzle Dust, in a small area that had probably once been some sort of driveway or pickup area, but was overgrown with weeds and scattered with rubbish now.

With the rope was secured around her waist, Resa hoisted herself up with a pulley until she was dangling a few metres above the ground on a wire she'd rigged between the eaves of the roof and the fence.
She fixed the pulley in place so it wouldn't unwind, and swayed there in the wind for a moment.

There was some pain in her wings for the first few beats, they'd been stiff and cramped from underuse and being inside for so long, but once the inertia wore off she found she was making more headway than she expected.
As she rose in the air and the ropes slackened, she began laughing despite her quick exhaustion forcing her to drop back into the harness. She swung there, catching her breath and giggling almost hysterically.
It had been too long.

To be honest, the Dazzle Dust wasn't really on his list of places he should be going, but then again, Jericho shouldn't have been going anywhere above ground. Especially not with the Elite about on every street corner in the brothel district it seemed. Whatever tension was going on on the surface was nothing compared to the bitter silence which continued down in the underground tunnels.

Supplies also needed to be gotten, and there weren't many faces in the Messiah Complex that they could let be seen. Jericho, however, was more or less unknown to the Elite, and while he never joined the organization during his stay with them, he finally volunteered to go up. If nothing else, it would give him the first chance to breathe "fresh" air in a half a year.

As for why he chose to go to the brothel district after making his quick dash to the Black Market for basic supplies, that was for him to know.

Jericho was just passing the Dazzle Dust, on his way to one of the many boarding houses, when he saw the girl with the wings. The arm-less man paused in the back alley he was taking and stared. Even as a Normal, he should have been used to Users of all kinds, but there was enough different about the whole scenario to peak his interest.

The fact she was giggling like that was one of them.

"Hey, filos." He couldn't tell if she was a boy or girl... heh, not that it mattered now did it? "Need a bit of help up there?"

Resa saw the man approaching before he stopped, had already taken in his condition and saw he probably wasn't Elite or a threat. Not that she was really worried about herself, but the girls inside…
"I'm okay thanks." Some of the ropes had tangled around her when she fell back down and she laughed nervously. "Just a bit… stuck."

Enemy or no, she couldn't really bring herself to be too wary or standoffish at the moment, still high on the thrill of being able to fly again for the first time in a year. Even if that flight was short lived.
She brushed a strand of sweaty hair out of her eyes.

"Probably for the best that you're figured out, eh? I mean, I could go inside and ask for somebody, but otherwise...?" Jericho's shoulders moved rather uselessly about. "Afraid of heights, or just learning how to fly again, yeah?"

He could see some of the girls living there peeking out the window, but they didn't seem scared at all. Just curious as to what was going on outside. When they realized he saw them, they just moved out of the way of the window. He didn't recognize any of the faces he saw.

Not a surprise, really, when he'd been away for so long.

"You work here at all, filos?"

Resa blinked, and blushed crimson at the assumption that she could actually work here, in this sort of business. Her reaction surprised her, normally she'd barely blink at this sort of thing, but then she'd been numb for so long...
Maybe that was how she was meant to feel?
"I don't." She pointed toward an offshoot of the alley that lead to the main street. "If you go by the front entrance, I'm sure they'll be able to help you." She smiled at him - though a bit wary, armless or not, she wasn't going to let just anyone through the back door where the girls from Cat Corner were presumably just getting settled.

"All right, but if you see a lady with blonde hair and big feet, maybe a pearl necklace, tell 'her that Richo is looking for her. Yeah?" Jericho gave the young person a wide smile. "I haven't seen her in a long while, and I thought she might have been around."

The only reason he chose not to use the woman's name was, quite frankly, because he wasn't sure that he knew her actual name. Chasing after an old flame who was also a street walker was always tricky business even without all the current goings on.

"Just make sure you don't string yourself up by your neck, filos," he chuckled as he went to ask at the front. "You're not nice to have that happen, aye?"
