Torch: Welcome Countdown, to Torched Down. Let's just jump right into things, with what is a question that a lot of people may be wondering. Where did you go? And, more importantly, what brought you back?

Countdown: Where did I go? It was pretty much school that made me go. I was in my final year last year and they place a lot of pressure on you to do good. I had about 12 3-hour exams within a space of a month that I had to study for. So I couldn't really commit to the ECWF. It was hard for me to do so because at that time I got a really big push from management and received the title. I really felt like I let them down when I left. But after school (and the partying lol) I really started to miss this place. It was always a hobby of mine and it gets quite addictive (Much more then Myspace for sure haha). And so I decided to come back and how they say "pay my dues" for letting them down last time.

Torch: Finals are a pain. I feel you on that. Now that you have come back, what is something that you want to accomplish from the get go? (Not really talking about titles)

Countdown: Haha they are, aren't they? The first thing I want to accomplish is to work on my character development, especially now that I’m "face". I noticed before I left that my character seemed to get a little stale because I was becoming one of those "goodie goodie" wrestlers. I want to make a complete overhaul of it and create in more of an image of myself except in the words of Vince McMahon "with the volume turned way up" whilst still keeping face qualities. Then I’m hoping to go after either the Pure Weight of UI titles.

Torch: *raises eyebrow with interest* Really? The Pure wrestling title? I do so love a good challenge =). So in essence, your character would be like so: Vince McMahon is to Mr. McMahon as Glenn Willmott is to Countdown? That’s interesting. Since you have been back for a few weeks, and probably tried this out, do you think it’s easier? I know of some people who don’t incorporate themselves in their character, is that career suicide to you?

Countdown: Haha yes, I’ve actually been looking at that Pure Weight title ever since I’ve joined ECWF, I’ve always been a fan of technical wrestling and when I first joined here my first priority was to gain that title. And yes my character is to Vince McMahon is to Mr. McMahon as I am to Countdown. And yes, I've found it much easier to write out promos. I feel much more at ease being myself because even within my group of friends I’m the guy you don't wanna argue with because I will always find a flaw in your argument and exploit it to the fullest. Put it simply, I’m a smartass and from my friends say a bit egotistical at times lol. My only problem is these days its the setting for my promos.

Torch: Problem? I hardly see a problem within your promos. I think the whole ego bit is working out for you. Whoever said a face can’t have an ego? So, let’s get us youngins some background information on the man known as Countdown. Why don’t you go ahead and provide us with a little rundown of title histories or big matches. Successful tag teams or awesome fueds…anything that can come to mind.

Countdown: Haha thats exactly what I thought. The Rock had an ego and he got over big, why can't I? lol. Title history? Well let’s see, i'll try and go in chronological order.

1. ECWF Coalition Tagteam Champion w/ Scottman
2. XWA Champion (Was instantly stripped of it after the match lol, I still count it as a title though lol. You could call me the forgotten champion ahha)
3. ICZ International Champion
4. ECWF KOTD Champion
5. WNC Pure Champion
6. ECWF Heavyweight Champion

I think thats all of them, can't help but think im missing one lol.

As for feuds? I have two fav. ones. The first one would be with Scottman seeing as he was my first feud and the feud with him helped me develop my heel character. My second and probably my fav. one would have to be with Hardcore Fool. We had both very contrasting promos and wrestling styles which I found fun to be apart of.

And biggest matches? Once again I have two. The first one is would have to be the TLC match when me and Scottman one the titles. I was so excited to win some "gold" because I felt that mine and Scott's promos were actually getting noticed by management. And my 2nd one would have to be the Chamber of Death. Even though I lost that match as well as my title, it was one heck of a match

Torch: That is quite the list. I wasn’t around for the Chamber of Death, but I read it once. Took me a while, but it was one of the best matches I have ever read. But you already knew that. Scottman is Pyro, right? Seems like you’ve been to hell and back with that guy. How long have you been fedding?

Countdown: Yep Scottman is Pyro. We had one main feud, after he beat me at a PPV we joined forces (Weird isn't it? A heel accepting to join with a face straight after losing to him. I was a bit confused at first but we made it work lol.) and then after we lost the titles to the Street Sweepers, I went heel again and we had a little feud on ECWF and WNC and thats the last I heard of him. I joined the ECWF back in October of 2005, my debut match was the show after their first PPV. So i've been here for a little over a year now.

Torch: Well, I suppose whatever works. I’m sure I would be confused if I lost to a heel and then we teamed up. But then again, my tag partner is already a heel. Oh well. lol. And how did you first get into e-fedding? How did you find out about it?

Countdown: I was actually going through the Impact Wrestling blogs one day and im pretty sure I saw the Modern Marvel advertising his e-fed, NBWF. At the time I didn't even know what the hell an e-fed was so I was quite interested. I had a look around but I wasn't sold on his e-fed. After all it was already an established e-fed with their own wrestlers. I didn't I wouldn't of been taken notice of (In the end it was a good decision cause they shut down a couple of weeks of me joining the ECWF). Then another blog popped up about ECWF, I think it was either Sean Gotti or Jimmy Lee who posted it. I had a looked and realized that they were two e-feds that just recently merged. And with a lot of mergers, people leave and leave spaces open so I thought "Hey, the matches seem kick ass and I think I could cut a promo quite easily, why not give it a try?" and so I joined up. I stayed inactive for a while cause I did have a bit of trouble actually cutting a promo lol. It was until my match with Jimmy Lee where I thought " Hey, I think I actually kept up with this guy promo wise and he’s been around for a while." And that’s when I started to enjoy my e-fedding a bit more.

Torch: I think I was in the NBWF for about two days lol. How long did it take for you to come up with your ‘Countdown’ persona? And how did you come up with the name?

Countdown: My persona was actually quite quick to make up. I've always liked the cocky, smart bad guy that you just hate to love. Pretty much Edge, Christian and Y2J were my inspiration. As for my name You can laugh but me and a few mates used to some backyard wrestling and back then I used to call myself Striker but I got kinda bored with that name so I started to think of another one. I can actually thank Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth for inspiration because my fav. CAW was actually a wrestler named Countdown and right on the spot as if I’ve been saying it my whole life I said my famous quote in my head. "You better start runnin cause the timefreeze is comin". Right after that I was like, ok, your wrestler name will be Countdown. Sadly since there isn't any good wrestling schools (The closest one being a 4 hour drive) I haven't been able to actually use my wrestling persona in real life.

Torch: I think that’s how a few of us got our names. I think that is the game that gave me mine =). So you’re an actual wrestler of sorts eh? Ever get hurt in the backyard?

Countdown: Haha I wouldn't call it actual wrestling seeing as I’ve only had the bare minimum of training. The worse thing that comes to mine is when Thrilla ( He was here for a slight time in the ECWF ), he came off the top rope and gave me a DDT. Stupid me though had my fists up to my face and when I hit the mat I literally punched myself in the eye haha. For about 12 hours I was seeing double vision and I got a bit afraid that I lost sight in my right eye. Haha it’s all good now though.

I had fun doing the backyard wrestling. Some people may find it stupid, but we had fun and after all thats what matters.

Torch: I suppose as long as no one gets really hurt…Are there any moves that you used with Countdown? Or anything you did there that inspired your moveset for Countdown?

Countdown: Most moves I wrote down on my move sets are ones I can actually do. I tried and made my character as realistic as possible. There are some of course, which I wouldn't be able to perform eg. The Spiral Tap. I’m just not that aero-dynamic lol. But almost all my submissions and suplexes I was able to perform

Torch: Awesome. Well Countdown, I think I have taken enough time out of your schedule as is. Any last words to your fans or fellow superstars?

Countdown: What else can I say but you all better start running because 2007 is a new year and the time freeze will be coming!
