Alright folks, its another edition of The Rock’s Perspective. My thoughts and opinions on everything ECWF. Here we go . . .

My Take on the ECWF:

Judging from the reactions, Stage of Legends was a huge success. I have to say that I was really looking forward to that show and I think it delivered. Now that we’ve gotten through ECWF’s Premier PPV, it’ll be good to see some new feuds and new storylines. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this year goes and what happens. We have some great things in mind and between the angles and the ability this fed has, the sky is the limit. The promos have been very good. I have to commend Omen and Beast. They put on a hell of a show last week. The match was insanely close and despite Omen winning, you can bet the Staff is looking at both men with a new found interest. The same can be said this week for Venom, who returned at Stage of Legends, Shane and the EWC. XPac and WCW have thrown up some awesome work. I’m impressed with Torch and Reaper as well. They just keep getting better and better. The point is, things are going very well and all around, I think everyone is doing a great job.

Superstar of the Week:

My money has to go to the returning Legend, The Paradigm. The man did a great job this last week, picking up the win against Louie Stevens. I don’t thin Dave has missed a beat despite being off for a year, plus. I was really looking forward to his return and Dave didn’t disappoint. What’s next for The Paradigm? Well, between him and Venom, I’d say Ackerman’s title is in trouble. Time will tell though. But I will say that Ackerman + Venom + The Paradigm = MUST SEE. Should be a great one.

Highlights from SOL & TNT 5/29:

I could write an entire post just on this alone. Like I said before, Stage of Legends was absolutely awesome. I think it might have been the best we’ve ever done. Titles changed hands, feuds were settled and above all, EVERYONE did very well . . .

Vlad vs. Reaper . . .
Vlad has defined the International X title since he was awarded it when it was revamped. He’s made it a very sought after belt. Enter Reaper. Fresh off the tag scene and chasing his first singles title, Reaper went head to head with Vlad and got the job done. Both men gave a solid promo battle and the match was very well done. We crowned a new IX Champ and now . . . Reaper has the ball. Let’s see how he runs with it. 

Rob vs. Spec . . .
These two had a great feud going into Stage of Legends and despite Spec’s schedule taking him away from the finale, the match turned out wonderfully. Rob has really done well since he finished with Ratings Inc. It makes me so damn proud. ;) He’s won himself a shot at Louie Stevens’ Pure Title. Call me biased, call me crazy, but I believe Rob, as well as a select few are going to bring a new breed of Main Event competition to the ECWF. I think in due time, the Vets are in for a challenge.

Countdown’s UI Invitational . . .
Tarantino, Seeker, Omen and Irons. 3 of ECWF’s brilliant young talent and one Veteran who’s turned himself into something even greater. I LOVED this match. We came up with the idea of Countdown’s Invitational and it worked out beautifully. Not only that, but I think these 4 gave probably the best promo battle we’ve seen in a very long time. In another very close match, Roger Irons took the win and walked right into a Timefreeze from the UI Champ and the Guest Ref himself . . . Countdown. Irons vs. Countdown sounds like one for the big time to me. There is a lot of talent crammed into this feud. I can’t get enough of Roger’s character and Countdown is a good friend that I’ve watched go from new rookie to Hall of Fame Veteran. The guy deserved that UI Title win and I predict, as good as Roger is, Countdown is going to make this the hardest feud he’s ever had. Good luck to both men.

Coalition Tag Team Title Triple Threat . . .
Say that a few times fast . . . lol. This match was awesome . . . on paper. The participants did a good job but the match was tainted by a man who abandoned his partner. That sounds bitter I know but Shane and the IOP are an awesome team and by Steve just disappearing, I think the wind was taken out of Shane’s sails a bit. I felt bad for him. The Thrillers put up a good fight but the Veteran Team of the East West Connection took the match in fine form. The ECWF is going to have a hard time keeping up with this team. They’ve proven they are a force to be reckoned with and with their quality and consistency, they will be exceedingly hard to beat. As for Shane, we caught a glimpse of some heat between him and Venom. Shane is no doubt a Legend. I can say that from firsthand experience. The IOP didn’t go out like we all had hoped , but you can bet your ass Shane is going to make things a lot more heated. Here’s to you Shane-O! :)

ECWF Elite World Heavyweight Championship Match – NNN vs. Torch
I mentioned Torch before as one of ECWF’s brightest. He’s proven it here. Not only has he headlined two consecutive PPV’s, one of them being SOL, but he has held two other ECWF titles and has his share of achievements all in just a few short months. Torch put up a good fight but in the end, The Champ retained. Matt Ackerman proved once again just how good he is but besting Torch in a huge match. Matt seems like he is really taking to his Championship role. With his new faction and the richest prize in the business, Matt has been on a roll lately. This match so VERY well done and I can honestly say I was hooked on the whole thing. Not only that, but Matt stands up and finds out the man that has been watching him was none other than former stablemate, The Paradigm. I’m a big fan of Dave’s and when he got a hold of me about a return, I was thrilled. Not only that, but Dave has been rumored to be bringing some of the past with him. Only time will tell. Now, as if Matt vs. Paradigm wasn’t already a huge feud, but throw the returning Venom into the mix and like I mentioned above, this is a MUST SEE. A threeway feud, with three Main Event Giants, for the biggest belt of all. You can bet this one is going to be off the charts. I cannot wait!

King of the Deathmatch Championship – Iron Man vs. Craig Lovecraft
No I did not save the best for last, but since I was a participant, I felt the need to do this one last. I want to reiterate something I said a while back. Craig Lovecraft is just flat out good. He gave me a run equal to guys like Shane Warner and Sean Gotti. Craig walked into SOL as the KOTD Champ and while he didn’t walk out with the belt, I have the UTMOST respect for him. He proved he can hold his own and plays the heel so damn well. This feud was a lot of fun for me and I would give Craig another go any time. For those of you who don’t know, Craig’s computer, in his words, “asploded” and he wasn’t able to promo for SOL. While I know he was disappointed, as was I, this is one time when I can say that Craig pretty much worked that hard through the feud that he almost didn’t NEED to promo. That supposed to be a compliment lol. And I need to give a lot of credit to WCW for writing our match. Once again, the man has proved himself to be a Legend not just in the ring, but out as well. You won’t find a better writer. :) Thanks boys . . . I loved every minute of the feud and the match. Now . . . what or who is next for the Iron Man? We’ll just have to wait and see.

That’s pretty much the way things went for SOL. As for last week’s TNT, we saw Reaper get a bit of revenge on Texas Jack for the hilarious stunt he pulled by stealing Reaper’s wrestling tights and leaving them in Countdown’s locker. Reaper returned the favor and cost Jack his semi-grudge match against Countdown. I think Jack’s learned his lesson. Billy Jo impressed yet again by picking up another win over Vlad. A very well done match that was and Billy Jo Patton is proving she can hang with the boys. Nice work BJP! The show itself was well done and well put together. I think though that in the next few weeks, you will see a lot more fallout from SOL than in the last show. Things are about to get interesting.

Advice:
I don’t have any advice in particular this week but I would like to mention to everyone that you should all make sure to read the card after its put up. If for some reason you can’t put up a promo for your match that week, you need to let someone know. I know we all have things going and this isn’t a lecture. But I have noticed that we do have matches from time to time where no one promos and I want to try and fix that. So just a heads up for everyone, if you don’t think you can promo for your match, please let us know ASAP so we can try and make any changes.

Random Thoughts:
I guess I’m not a random guy. I draw a blank when it comes to this part lol.

Tash (my wife if you don’t know) is about 5 weeks away from having our second kid. I have a 3 ½ year old daughter, Moleigh (pronounced Molly) and a son on the way, Max. Its been a long and very rough road for her but its almost go time. Can’t wait! :)

I’d like to take the time to welcome The Modern Marvel, Tony Marshall to the ECWF. I admit I was surprised to see Tony’s name on the validating list but he’s here and it looks like he’s ready to jump in and do this. Good luck to you Tony. :) I’m looking forward to seeing how you do.

There’s an ECWF Magazine in the works which will include Missy’s and Billy Jo’s photoshoot as well as an interview with an ECWF Superstar and much more! Should be out soon. Be sure to check it out!

I started back into baseball today with some batting practice and I have to say I felt really good. I’m really happy with the session today. I still got it lol but I’m really looking forward to getting back into it and having a good time. I missed baseball like crazy. Its good to be back.

Iron Man has a board of his own now dedicated to his career. Anything you want to know about The Iron Man, you can find there. Anything that you can’t find will be added sooner or later. It’s a never ending process of updating and editing. I hope you all enjoy it and please feel free to leave some feedback in the feedback section. It would be much appreciated.

Shout Outs:
Once again, a shout out to the Staff for a brilliant and well put together PPV with Stage of Legends. It was absolutely awesome and it wouldn’t have been possible without you guys! And to the writers, thank you too for taking the time to write out the awesome matches we all read. No fed could find a better team than what we have here.

Torch & Billy Jo Patton & XPac – The Graphix Staff. These guys have taken it upon themselves to give the ECWF is banners, sigs, flashes, avatars etc. They do great work and they make things a lot more fun! Thanks to you all!

That’s all for now kids. I hope you enjoyed the read. Let me know what you all think. Look out for another word from Iron Man as well! Take it easy!

I was just glad to be a part of Stage of Legends. I'm glad to be back in the ECWF, and I think you said it best, Rock, when you said, "Ackerman + Paradigm + Venom = MUST SEE".

Thank you very much Rock for the warm welcome. I must admit I had a little trouble trying to find out if WCWF existed still. Im glad to see that not only is it still around, but going so stronly. IW.com was a great start for us all. Id hate to imaginge what it would be like walking up into a ne "E-Fed" and not knowing a single soul. Im glad to be back here with all of my freinds again and cant wait to see what we can all come up with. It may not be for quite some time but I would indeed love to write matches again from time to time. I know you would at least give it a thought considering our history together. Im glad to hear about the little one on the way. Its kindof Iron ic. I too have a second child and hes ready to pop out any minute. So mabey 15 years from now when we are all too old to look at a computer screen for more than five minutes with tears coming from our eyes. Mabey just mabey Modern Marvel Jr. and Iron Man Jr. could become fedders of their own. lol Good to hear from you man and thanks a bunch for accepting me back. Mail me personally if you have any idea or plans you would like to venture into and talk about with me. Cant wait to hear from you man..... or should I say Dude.....lol
