I finally finished. Yay! Great game. A little confusing, you need a second playtrough or a reading of the creation materials to get the most of the story. And the balance between story and gameplay could have been better in both discs, but great game nonetheless. Oh and if you are Judeo-Christian you must play it with a very open mind. The music=awesome. I frigging love Bart, he is such a Figaro... err... Fatima, and Sigurd and Margie. I know FeixElly is the core of the game, but I ship BartxMargie in a weird kind of way. And the cameos, they have my approval. Guess who?  And him too

Well, they are twins named Roni and Rene. Roni is the first king of a desert kingdom called Aveh, an engineer genius he owns a submarine that can burrow itself in the sand, among other stuff... So yeah, they may have a different last name and live in a different universe, but it's definitely them. I posted THIS*(<-Fatima and Figaro family trees) in another forum, but nobody seemed to find it that interesting. There are just too many Figaro references in Xenogears. I think I had more fun searching the similitudes than with the main storyline, which is a shame because is a great story.*Thanks to Shiva Indis for the information on Figaro and Lockpick for gathering it all and UltimateGraphics at flickr for the truly awesome Xenogears Perfect Works translation. |

P.S The comic you link too, I've seen it a million times...but I never got it till know lol I was like "why is Mog so big and why is his name Thog?" then I thought the Locke-wanna be was the real Locke till I saw the blond hair lol Great comic is what I meant. |

Yeah I did, thanks. Every gamer goes nuts for the Tifa poster in Xenogears, but almost no one notices that Figaro=Fatima, even when it's damn obvious, that's why I made the chart.
For the PS. It depends, on one hand Xenogears is praised as one of the best rpgs ever, on the other you have people complaining about the lack of gameplay and too much story. I guess it is both, play it if you're feeling like reading, it's worth it. And it has Bart... enough reason for me >_>
You should read Order of the Stick from it's beginning, funny stuff. One of my favorite web-comics. |

I love it so much, especially the font. What kind of font is it on the FFVI side? It looks so old and cool ^^ So this version is for PS? Is there a number to it, or is it the first one? From what I read from the comic, it seems very funny. But their is a site where they make comics for all the games, like Mario. Thank you. They're actually the same fonts on both sides, the background gives the illusion of being different. I used Allencon Demo for the names, Monotype Corsiva for the titles and Cardinal for the families.
There's only one, Tetsuya Takahashi and his wife Kaori Tanaka (aka Soraya Saga, she created Edgar and Sabin) had planed Xenogears to be six episodes spread in tree games, the one we got is episode 5... then Square fired them >_< They joined Monolith Soft to work on Xenosaga with the plan of making six games, the series ended at episode three, and they got fired again.
I've been reading it for years now, although it doesn't get updated every monday like it used to. I also keep up with Penny Arcade, F@nboy$, Cyanide and Happiness, Awkward Zombie, and let's not forget 8-bit theatre and The Final Fantasy 6 Comic. |

Monolith is another company that derived from Square and got support from Namco, now it's owned by Nintendo, their flagship is Xenosaga, but they also developed Baten Kaitos. They get fired because no one can handle their greatness =P. But seriously, this people should work writing books, the videogame world is not yet ready for their stories. |

Really? Cool, let me know what you think when you start playing it. The anime scenes might seem awfully dubbed, but really...they are awfully dubbed, I forgave them because I think it was one of the first games to have those. And yeah, it's more story than anything else, that and mechas... and extremely weird religious references.

The fun thing about that site is that there's new images everyday and most of the art is top notch. A Johnny fan, uh? I got to admit I'm one too, the man got the charisma and the looks. If there's a FF6 movie ever made, I want him to play Setzer, dunno, I think he would fit he role.
Yeah, I'm calling their dad Stewart now =P They are adorable, but I pity tha fool that had to take care of them. Poor, poor Matron, just imagine the kind of chaos those two did in their younger days. |
