Main Information
Name: Loretta Patricia Couchette.
Nickname: Lori, little Lotti.
Gender: Female.
Age: 18.
Birthday: April 22nd.
Year: 8th.
Blood: Half-blood.
Wand: White ebony, a wand with the core of a horse’s tail, commonly used for earlier violins. The wood is often used in the creation of musical instruments and it draws strongly upon her use of music in her life.
Previous School: Home schooled until her acceptance at Hogwarts then graduation in Iriys Dievas Institute
Major/s: Performing Arts: Dance and Music.

Physical Description:
Height: 158 centimeters/5 foot 2 inches.
Build: 111 pounds.
Hair: With thick, curling brunette hair Loretta does not commonly find herself able to maintain it in the silky smoothness that most of her peers seem to wear their hair. It is often a bit wild, and only when she magically straightens it, will it fall straight.
Eyes: A bright blue that is almost clear in certain lights. It is a strange thing to have prejudice against, yet many people have found her eyes to be a deigned a bit odd, and off from the normal being.
Accent: Russian.
Ethnicity: She is Caucasian, skin lightly faired with her Russian blood.
Other: A particularly short girl Loretta has always been able to most easily pull off the cute and innocent look and, though she does not purposefully often draw upon such a card, most do assume her to be a weak woman. What is perhaps most surprising about her height is that, though she is small, she is well muscled due to the dance classes she has taken since being quite young. Though she is not the one to be lifting dressers about her room she can do quite a bit more then what is usually expected of her. Her muscles are soft, not hardened or particularly defined, and she is lithe more then any other adjective could describe.

With a fashion pulled specifically from the 1920’s she wears a good many older styled clothing, vintage more so then anything else. She has a strong love for headbands and things with stripes and polka dots, wearing many of both, and it is not common that she wears some of the newer fashions. Amid her somewhat odd choices in clothing is that she does not often choose to wear pants, or jeans, instead keeping mainly skirts and dresses of that nature. Her favorite materials include lace and silk and she often sews together her own clothes, preferring to have made them custom for her purposes. As a dancer she often dresses in airy articles of clothing and winter is perhaps her least favorite season due to the lightness of her wardrobe.

Jewelry is a commonly found with the young girl, though she rarely pays full price for any of it, finding most of her faux golden rings and necklaces in thrift or pawn shops. She almost never can be found without some kind of bangles or hooped earrings and, though she has her ears pierced, she does not have any tattoos or otherwise permanent body modifications.

Psychological
Personality: Not naïve, Loretta is a beautifully sweet child despite her blooded and violent childhood. Though her support system was made up of those in the Dark Lord’s society they did care for the young girl and she has grown up well. A kind young woman she does tend to be at times out of her own loops, playing catch up, though she is not particularly unintelligent. Without a violent bone in her body she has been raised with her father’s death on her history and it is thus that fuels her to find the right in the DE’s way of speech. She was not brainwashed by some representative preaching talk of the pureblooded versus not and in truth does not see the fatal truth in such an argument. Instead it is simply made of black and white, her father’s death on the Order’s hands, and in her eyes they are the cruel ones.

She has never had a truly divine connection to any other person in her age group, always being rather separated, and it shows in her interactions with others and the strange little manner that she deals with social interactions. She fetched the nickname Little Lotti in her years at Iriys, titled so from a combination of her dancing skills paired with her love for famous musicals such as the Phantom of the Opera, and because of her small stature. Most overlook her and she has grown to expect it, often drawing back in expectation, more so then any true shunning. Her only true anger comes in doses to the Order, believing them to be the cause of her childhood pain and loss, though she as well deals with her own issues at having accidentally caused her mother’s death.

Loretta, never having been in a relationship of any sort, is a filled with all kinds of romanticized notions. If her life was a Disney movie she would be the princess consistently waiting for her prince. It gives her a slightly goofy aura and people often mock her for living in a fantasy world, so detached can she grow from reality. A good story will rivet her for hours and she has met many a boy who have fascinated her, though never once has it been to any real avail as most consider her either off-balanced or simply strange.

History: As a young girl Loretta was born to Couchette household, her mother and father under the Dark Lord’s services, though his name was not well known in her childhood for some time. Her father was a lower level deatheater, working in smaller ways, and often unnoticed and her mother raised her at home. They were a loving family, despite the common stereotype against those who worked under the Dark Lord, and from pictures and memories of her early childhood Loretta can recall being innocently happy for some time. She was a light-hearted child however she was most at ease with her mother and it was perhaps due to the woman’s love for her child that kept her home schooling the girl. Her power came quickly at a young age and it was fraught with panic and a pain that could not be undone. When she was six years old, an old enough age to be aware of herself, she was in the kitchen with her mother. The woman was baking, thought what was to be later forgotten, when Loretta grew frustrated over a craft, throwing her scissors down in anger, and beginning to cry in her childish wrath. Moments later her mother began fall to her side, convulsing in pain, and before she could be shown what was occurring, bits and spots of blood were awakening on her clothing, pressing through from her skin underneath.

It was in Loretta’s ensuing panic that her mother became wounded to the point where she blacked out and in ten short minutes she had died. Her father came home an hour later and found the young girl crying over her mother’s body, attempting to wake her. The death would later be explained through her power, an ability in which Loretta’s emotions can lash out, manifested into physical pain on others around her. She would later become trained to control the power and indeed some of her father’s company found it to be a hopeful promise for her future use in the DE, though she was far too young at the time to be thinking at any such great distance. She knew that her mother’s death was connected to her in some way, though it was explained to her that it had been an illness, and of course once she grew old enough to know better such lies became burdening upon her conscience. She was raised by her father from that point on, though an aunt had stepped in to take over her schooling, her father busy with his work.

When she was eight years old a member of the Order found out and killed her father, leaving her for the first time parentless. An orphan, she was kept by the other members of the DE, watched by others until it was her time to be taken to a magical school. She was taught, and well so, in the ways of the Dark Lord and she grew up knowing black and white in a manner that most others did not. It was made easier by the truth of her father’s death, for one could not expect her father’s murder to be taken in any other way then done by the hand of evil. Once accepted to Hogwarts she was placed in the house of Gryffindor, for reasons inexplicable at time to the young girl who had been told she would be placed with the Slytherins. Many of her childhood friends who had made their way into Slytherin ranks at that time began to abandon her, leaving her more awkward and alone then before, not quite fitting in with anyone for her time there. She grew a bit secluded, spacey in her mannerisms, and most defied her company through her years in the school.

It was in her third year that she transferred to Iriys Dievas Institute, a much more comfortable place for her, though again she had a bit of difficulty maintaining friendships. Most found her a bit awkward and strange and she, though good with schoolwork, found herself often estranged from her fellows. She was accepted into Elysion University the year of her graduation from Iriys and she was to be taken through her first steps of initiation into the DE for the first time since a life in the very depths.

Family: Father: Anatoli Couchette, a man who loved his daughter and worked under the Dark Lord’s services as a lower level worker.
Mother: Isidora Couchette, a woman who died at a tender age from her daughter’s emerging powers.

Miscellaneous
Pet: She has no pet, though she has always wanted a kitten.
Knowledge/Talents: With a training in ballet from a young age Loretta is most skilled in dance, though her voice is not bad, more so simply ill-trained, not having a great deal of training in before Elysion. She plays the harp, and has for some years, a harder instrument then most due to the vast number of strings. She is gifted in the musical capabilities, though her natural talents largely end there, most of her life devoted to such simplicities. Though she fancies herself a poet at times she knows that it is not in her strengths and will not often share her literary experiences with anyone else. Her favorite authors however include a great many poets and she is more then glad to discuss their works with a given other on any occasion.
Magical Weaknesses: Skilled in many smaller skills like charms, transfigurations and the like, she is not the best at defensive or offensive wand work. It is known to be her stamina itself that keeps her from performing some of these darker tricks and it is a hindrance.
Special Ability: Dangerous, unlike her seeming personality, Loretta’s power is one that had to be strictly watched and trained from a very young age. On the most basic level she can now make others physically feel her emotional feelings. As with her mother when she was young, any rage she can feel will be acted out in a physical draw to their bodies. For instance, if she were to be consumed with anger, she can focus on something painful and unleash it on another, having their wrists slid open as if invisible knives were attacking them. Though she has never done such harmful acts the ability also works in reverse, letting others feel the soft flooding of a blanket if she so wills. With a long history of training her ability is possibly her greatest asset, a weapon both to be feared and, in the right company, embraced.
Notes: Lotti believes herself to be a pureblood. She has been raised under the belief that her blood is pure. Her mother was a half-blood but they covered it up when her father started working for the Dark Lord. So while she really isn't pure she's under the belief that she is and no one has ever really traced back to find out for sure since her father drew up falsified documents to protect them.[MS]
