Personal Information
Name: Robbie Madigan
Nickname: -
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Birthday: March 3rd
Blood: Half-blood
Wand: African blackwood, 9 inches, containing feathers of a Griffin.

Academic Information
Year: 12th.
Level of Study: Masters Degree
Area of Study: Medical Magic
Secondary Area of Study: -
Previous Schooling: He attended a wizarding academy in Ireland, taking University courses in his last years there, and spent a few years at a University before transferring to Elysion.

Physical Description:
Height: 5'9
Build: A fit man he isn't overly muscular, on the far side of lean muscle, slender down to his toes. He does exercise, enough to keep in shape, but he isn't overly obsessed with all that. When there isn't time there isn't time, and there isn't always time.
Hair: His hair is dark brown, close enough to be called black, though he doesn't personally believe that you can have naturally black hair. The only black hair, really, honestly black, was out of a box. Dry his hair falls above his shoulders, slicked back and curly. Wet it falls all over the place, a little over his shoulders and much, much curlier.
Eyes: Black.
Accent: Irish.
Ethnicity: Irish.
Other: A set style would be the first thing that anyone noticed about him, really. He has a pair of forest green fingerless gloves he often wears, and the rest of his wardrobe is fairly repetitive. He often pairs jeans with different colored plaid over-shirts, buttoned over plain colored t-shirts, simply changing them out every now and then for a different pattern, keeping the rotation going to keep it from being the same outfits. He didn't have much money growing up, a lower class child, and he doesn't have any now either, living mainly off of money he makes at small jobs around town. He does keep a few things in stock though, mainly tweezers for his ridiculous eyebrows and clean undergarments and socks because, well. Really.

He doesn't have any body modifications and the only visible scar he has is a dark tan burn mark along the back of his left arm, a mark left from touching up against a pan while cooking as a child. He has fairly dark skin already, a healthy tan developed over the last few years pasted over an already heavy pigment tone. A wide mouth he has a big smile, often useful when trying to please a crowd, and his voice is low, generally in the quieter realm of the group.

Psychological
Personality: Though Robbie has a good nature about him, he's rather closed off about his life, particularly his past. The secrecy often comes off wrong, and people have accused him of being a dick, though he wouldn't think of himself as such. He can be extroverted when he needs to be, often portraying it as his main default, for easiness. The people in the shadows always draw more attention to themselves then the people who make fools of himself. While he has no interest in being a fool there certainly isn't any need to not sit towards the front of the class, be charming with the girls, be all the menfolk's instant best friend. It might be fake, sure, but it was also safe, and he was all about safe. He doesn't come to school to cause drama and, if he had his way, he'd learn and leave, but it rarely works out like that. Life always becoming messier, bidden or not.

Because of his power he finds himself pulled towards the emotionally distraught, finding himself very easily drawn into protecting them, even at the loss of his own priorities. It's gotten him in too deep before and he does tend to over compensate for it, keeping a thick distance between himself and dramas. While he's willing to make small talk, do the necessary public persona rounds, he has issues making any true connections. Friends burn him out though it isn't often their fault. Being able to feel their issues to the degree that they themselves feel makes him want to fix the problem, to find a solution, to immerse himself in their lives, even if that means letting his own fall apart. His temper is rarely a result of anything other then the headaches he gets from his power, lashing out when the pain gets too bad, though it never lasts, and he more often then less realizes what he's doing half-way through the rage. Apologies all around, and he keeps his head down till the incidents blown over.

With emotional upheaval just one wrong person away he enjoys the clinical edge of the medical field, embracing the black and white of it all. It un-stresses him to know that he can cut into a person without having to know their first names, or what their day was like, or what they were going to do after the surgery. The magical aspect of operations was quickly taking that away from him as it advanced, but it was still the same concept in general, and that's all he needs.

History: As a boy Robbie was stricken with near constant headaches, a sickly child. The doctors spent much of his childhood testing him for different illnesses and, with only one parent, a woman who knew nothing of the magical world, they didn't have much luck at finding the truth of the matter. He was home schooled, public school only making things much worse, with all the students around, all those feelings. His mother often worked two to three jobs at a time, part-times and the sparse full-times, trying to make ends meet. It built in a wall of guilt for him as a young child, knowing that they would be doing well enough without the thousand and one medical bills he presented. A good woman she never put that blame on him, often rocking him at night, telling him stories and trying not to cry when the bills all came in. Even without a diagnosis she understood that her child cried when she cried, a pattern that followed him throughout his life.

It was this pattern that lead her to looking up his father, a wizard from London. It took nearly six months to locate the man, a wizard working in the politics of magic. He had his own family, all purebloods, a wealthy man. Though he hadn't known about Robbie, vanishing shortly after a one night stand, he still struggled with feelings of hatred for the man. Knowing that he had had everything capable of making the past ten years of his mother's life easier was a hard thing to take, especially at such a young age. Finding him did offer some benefits though and he soon got the first real help he'd ever gotten, introduced into the wizarding community and it's wide medical field. The distaste for hospitals that he'd had as a child developed into an earnest interest in these years, and they soon pronounced it less of a disease and more of an ability, one that could be trained.

Though the doctors had promised that he'd be able to understand his ability, perhaps one day even master it, he never truly grasped it, full control always a little bit outside his reach. He had learned enough to begin school when it was time for academy, choosing a wizarding academy close to home, on the shores of Ireland. He struggled these years the most, often lashing out, achieving quite a record for fistfights in his time there. The more understanding teachers were always befuddled by how to help him, understanding that violence truly wasn't his nature, and not sure how to discipline him. He hid for many of his school years, keeping in the back, drawing more attention to himself as an object to be bullied, often picked on for being a "sissy", all those emotions that boys his age weren't supposed to have. They weren't ever his, not really.

Going into the medical field was an easy and automatic choice for him, and it was when entering his first university that he began to make friends. Going far from home he left behind most who had known him at the academy, starting fresh and going for bold. He formed his most accessible identity learning how to pander to the crowd, how to stay distant and close all at the same time.

Here he met Hailie, a pretty American girl with a head of blonde hair and paintings. An art student it was by mere chance that he met her, none of their studies ever matching up, and he quickly fell for her. She came with baggage, and a lot of it. He dated her for almost three years, most of the time spent in losing his temper and emotions everywhere. Being around her sank his grades, and for all the wonderful qualities about her she was also a deeply emotional girl, one he wasn't prepared to be able to defense against. In a classic Hailie moment he got into a brawl with one of her ex-boyfriend's at a party. A gun, a ridiculous, muggle gun went off somewhere in the midst of it all, and he along with five other students were expelled.

It took him nearly a half of a semester to get accepted into another university, leaving the girl behind as he headed for Greece. Nothing mattered as much to him as getting his full license, and he didn't plan to let something stupid interrupt that goal again.

Family:
Moira Madigan- Growing up in a single parent home let him bond closely with his mother, who he saw work far too many hours to many days, their bond a close one. He often made dinners for her, and lunch when she'd be home, and she would teach him at nights after work, leading to screwed-up schedules. It taught him to be an initiative taking child however, needing to be able to manage his own homework and the spare courses during the day, leaving her with only the teacher-needed subjects.

Miscellaneous
Pet: Two ginger kittens named Felix and Jasper. He picked them both up at a shelter and has owned cats throughout his life.
Knowledge/Talents: Cranking out an essay or written work is the easiest thing for him, reading a second-hand talent to breathing since he grew up fairly closed off from society. He's also quick with tennis and enjoys playing it among other sports, like football.
Magical Weaknesses: Better with hands-on material he often has trouble with wand-work, finding it difficult to connect the assignment with his wand. He can use his wand if he understands the maths behind the problem but when it comes to unexplainable magic, like charms, he has several issues with it.
Special Ability: A sensitivity to the emotions of others that he sees as less of an ability and more of a disability. Though he's been trained to filter out the emotions, more easily able to be in crowd-like circumstances with that sort of effort under his belt, he still has daily struggles with accomplishing it. He often loses his temper when already tired or not physically up to the challenge, often retiring early, his social life generally lacking because of it. He doesn't like to tell people about it, often citing his ability as something mundane and easily wrote-off when he is asked.
