Here is a list of subjects that professors are able to teach.

PLEASE NOTE: Professors are now able to teach in more than one subject, though we would suggest two would be the norm, with three max.
There is also able to be more than one professor teaching in each subject. However please keep in mind that we are looking for teachers across the board. If we already have three music professors and you apply for one, we aren't likely to allow another. Keep this in mind when making applications. Also keep in mind filling in positions that are needed; for example, if a music professor is qualified as teaching instruments, an application for a music professor teaching singing would be more highly looked upon.

Professor List
Current and NPCs

Here are a list of professors that are NPC; that are, non-playing characters. They are to be used by the students when referring to a particular professor (especially in classes) when there is no professor registered to that the class (that is, we don’t have anyone playing a professor for the class). Links to all professors can be found here; some are to the professor on the board, but most are simply to a picture of the professor.

Think of these characters as place holders until a PC professor comes along; only those listed above are PC professors. New professors do not have to apply as one of these characters!

Note: All professors with the exception of those already a member here and Chris Letterman are able to be adopted as a character; please contact an admin for further information.

Headmaster
Constatine Mordikai – there is without a doubt more to this man than meets the eye. Not only do his eyes hold wisdom, and even sadness that are beyond his years, but he is hardly ever seen doing any magic that isn’t the ordinary wizarding magic, despite the fact that everyone knows he must have an ability. Though he is a very serious man Constatine only wants what is best for his students and is always willing to led an ear, give a helping hand, and do whatever he can to ensure that everyone in his university is at their best.
Note: The headmaster, as well as being an NPC, is a playable character here whenever he is needed. He will be played by one of the administration team here; please contact his account via pm if you need him for a particular purpose.

Theoretical Magic
Ancient Runes: Rukia Ito - Very calm, sensible, but firm professor. She doesn't take her subject lightly and therefore will not allow students to do so either. Her love of tea is the way to get into her good graces.
Arithmancy: Derrick VonLich – a German with a flair for calculating figures, a somewhat jittery attitude who can become constructive only when around his most dedicated students. The man is deeply in love with his subject and could go on for hours from numbers to fractions if ever given the opportunity.
Divination: Mirko Sendak – whether Mirko actually has the power over the Eye is a question that only he can answer; from the very beginning there have been rumours going around that he is nothing but a cold reader with a strong affinity for reading others. Whether this is true or not, Mirko is a non-nonsense professor who takes his subject very seriously, and expects everyone else to do the same.
Occlumency: David Veitch - perhaps not as dark as Occlumency professors usually are, but he's not the kind of man that you would want to cross. With feint patience, he demands a lot from his students, not accepting anything short of brilliance and perhaps it is only fair since his teaching methods have been called more than once very enlightening. He's one among the few that is blatantly clear he was meant to teach, his ease of words and logic a refreshing method for all students, even amongst the mostly challenged. A breath of fresh air after Michael Giordano.
History of Magic: Digory Alvert - Though not a charming man by far Alvert has a gruff exterior that can easily be broken down by a gentle portion of humbleness and an eagerness to learn. He is well versed in his teachings and, if well heeded to, can be one of the greatest suppliers in education.
Mythology: Jennifer Hocking – Jenn’s teaching style has often been cited as being overly flirtatious; which makes it a favourite with many of the boys of the school. Despite her often over the top teaching style, there can’t be any question that she knows her subject matter, and you will be hard pressed to find a myth that she knows nothing about.

Practical Magic
Charms: Professor Lysander de Villiers
DADA: Jimmy Johnson - Though his name has given a great deal of trouble seeing the many references one can make from it Jimmy is one of the more jittery Professors, very paranoid from a life of studying the Dark Arts, though he has rarely seen danger himself. He has a very firm stutter which scatters about like a frightened bird and this can often affect his thrown curses but he generally gets the point across – one way or another.
Duelling: Iliah Mackovich – a rather dark and shady character, Iliah prefers his students to call him by his surname, to emphasise his pureblood connections. He is a serious teacher, emphasising the dangers that his subject commands, but is known to have a sense of humour, which can sometimes present itself at odd times.
Quidditch Tactics: Charles Abraham - A man almost as quick witted as the brooms he flies, Abraham enjoys a strong cup of coffee in the morning, a hard day’s work out in the blue skies, and a tenacious novel before bed. His favourite type of students are those with a very boisterous personality as he relates to them quite well and it can be said by some that he plays favourites but he is far to wrapped up to listen to such nonsense.
Transfiguration: Roslyn Bordieux – Wife of the Engineering professor, Rose isn’t the type of person who, upon looking at her, most think of as being useful with a wand. While she might not be the sharpest person in the world, and may be a bit oblivious to things that don’t immediately concern her, but her skill with a wand is great, and students can learn a lot from her.

Magical Science
Astronomy: Camille Benoit – serious and distant, but sweet; she usually walks with an air of mystery, though not intentional. She's a very private person and likes to keep her relationships professional, so she isn’t likely to go out of her way to talk to anyone outside of class.
Culinary: Oliver Winmar – Oliver is simply a genius with a wand and a knife; able to perform complex charms as though they were simple spells, able to do amazing knife skills without a second thought. He is a rather paranoid man though, with sometimes loud outbursts in class to get their attention, and this can lead to his students thinking him rather crazy; which he just might be.
Engineering: Tanen Bordieux - someone who's sharp and way too charming for his own good, always carrying a devil may care smile, nice, but always with an underlying mischievous tone about him. He is married to the transfiguration professor Rose, and the two are quite secretive and closed to the outside world when together.
Herbology: Diane Carvinere
Magical Creatures: Ebenezer Sewell - he's not the most jovial of caretakers, in fact it has been rumored that he'd rather eat the animals, then feed them. However these are mostly lies for he has quite the sweet temperament to those under his care, though students may not fair well nearly as often. To get on his good side you more or less have to show a love for animals; he will not stand for cruelty in any measures.
Medical Magic: Prof. Mephistopheles Fausto
Potions: Robert Thatch - An old soul trapped in a relatively young man’s body, the Charm’s Professor is at times labeled grumpy, fussy and picky about his student’s mannerisms. Gum is frowned upon as he has been known to stop a lecture simply to hover over the sinner’s desk, mocking their popping until the disturbance has been removed. He is a fair grader and, though a bit of a tight-ass in the classroom, has been known to get a bit looser with some alcohol that may or may not be carried in a flask at his side.

Humanities
Business: Trevor Grattan – Trevor does not look like someone who would work in business; rather, he looks like he should be a bodyguard. He is the epitome of don’t judge a book by its cover, as he is a much smarter individual than people tend to think, and a very savvy businessman. Teaching wise he is often gruff, short and to the point, with a dramatic flair that students tend to enjoy.
Criminology: Demetris Kahotep
Economics: Wesley Laufer – Weird in looks, teaching style and general methodology, you’re certain to never have a professor like Wesley ever again. Although for the first few weeks of class you might find yourself wondering how this man ever graduated himself, let alone became a teacher, his thorough without being full-on way is a good way for the average student to learn about Economics.
Education: Balthazar Duvall - There isn’t any question that Balthazar is the kind of teacher that every student wants to have; he’s easy going and he likes to try to bond with the class rather than be strict with them and try to remind everyone that he has power over them. He likes to get down to their level and speak to them like equals rather than as if he’s their superior; that can get him in trouble at times but he does what he thinks is best, and for a class as specific as education, this can be very useful.
International Studies: Lauriel Thatcher - With an open mind and an open soul Thatcher well fits out her role as the International Studies Professor and with an ample amount of melodious charm she finds a thrill in teaching and particularly enjoys the quieter students, finding them to be intensely studious and frequently more delightful. As a joker herself however she does have a particular love for the class clowns and oftentimes resembles the students themselves more then she ought to.
Magical Law: Dominic Rosenberry – Dom is your typical defence attorney, charming, sarcastic, intelligent, and just a little bit smarmy. As a lawyer, and a teacher, he isn’t above using his baby blues to get his way and will try to charm the pants off any beautiful women in the vicinity. As a teacher Dom plays favourites, and you can often find a hierarchy in his class of those he favours, those he doesn’t and those he tends to ignore, which can often annoy his students.
Politics: Claire Hathaway - is the kind of person that gets exactly what she wants; she knows the ins and outs of the political world, how to get to the top without (and with) stepping on people’s toes. Claire is confident, intelligent and manipulative; so it would be best to be careful around her. Claire tends to play favourites, though she doesn’t put anyone down; everyone is equal, some are just elevated above the rest.
Muggle Studies: Elle Celestine - Shy is not in her vocabulary, she's tough, smart and doesn't take bullshit from any one. She's very thorough with her subject and enjoys black a lot. With her students she is serious and expects seriousness in return; there’s nothing that she hates more than people not living up to their potential.

Arts
Dance: Celine Yim – One of the best dancers the world has ever seen, Celine is the kind of teacher who likes to dress the same as the students, and teach them not by telling them what to do, but by showing it to them. Although now retired, Celine puts everything into teaching the next generation of dancers some amazing moves.
Dramatic Arts: Abernathy Horatio - As a Theatre teacher it is well expected that Horatio have a certain sense of dramatics and, though having a reputation for being one of the sterner Professors employed by Elysion, he gets the job done and is always willing to help out a needy student with a project or speech. His only demands are that you be police and accept the fact that his life does not revolve around yours, however much you may wish to believe so.
Media Communications: Maya Rutheford - a very savvy woman that's been in Journalism and editing for nearly twenty-five years; that means that there's very little that can get past her. Although she's sweet and supportive of her students, you should avoid getting on her bad side. She loves her work and is very enthusiastic when she teaches; rarely thinking inside the box.
Literature: Ester Norrington - the usual tall, refined and elegant English woman with a warming smile and a twinkle to her moss green eyes. She is kind and she is patient, a soft welcoming haze always surrounding her that manages to get students to open up to her more easily than others. She is honest and a believer in second chances, her merciful nature more often than not finding favour amongst her students. She loves literature and shares that same enthusiasm when she teaches and is able to make every topic inviting, even if it's Shakespeare. Unlike what people might first perceive her as, she's very opened minded and liberal (though not to the extreme) and makes a habit of reciting pieces of literature at the drop of a hat.
Music: Professor Chris Letterman – a quiet, unassuming, and very supportive angel with a love of music. Students view him as one of their favourite teachers. It isn’t easy to get to know Chris very well, but he will take time out of his personal time, outside of classes, to get to know his students better.
Visual Arts: Saya Minnow - finished her higher academic studies by the age of fifteen, is a world renowned painter and sculptor, she's serious most of the time, very intent on her work and classes, a bit neurotic and of an eccentric, straight forward and gets caught up in her art way too often.
