Best, I have no opinion. I don't know enough of your country's history to say. Worst, however, is a no-brainer. George W. "Shrub" Bush. I've never seen a man reverse a country's fortunes and international prestige in such a short time as your current president. This is especially striking considering the international concern and goodwill generated over your 9/11 incident. Hell, HITLER took more time to make Germany look bad! |

Well, the best in my opinion is Ronald Reagan. Also, FDR was also equally amazing. Let them R.I.P. |

The best has to be George Washington. If we didn't have a strong leader after the revolution, some other country would have come over and taken us over just as fast as we got free of the Brits. He set many precedents that have been followed for years by other US presidents. |

Teddy Roosevelt, Square Deal, Federal Parks. FDR, New Deal, WWII. LBJ, Civil Rights, Great Society Programs...er...forget Vietnam, though. |

Lincoln was a cynic who used people he didn't himself particularly like as an excuse to wage terrible war. Calling him the Great Emancipator is one of the greatest injustices in all of US history. |

In terms of political philosophy, I'd say I liked Jefferson the best. In terms of overall quality as a president, I like FDR. My only real qualm with FDR was the court-packing event. He could also be blamed for creating a few overly-large programs such Social Security, but at the time of the Great Depression I'd say the response was appropriate and could've been scaled-down slowly following the end of the Great Depression. Besides, Lincoln might have had moxie, but FDR had panache. The award for presidents who I'd like if it wasn't for a fundamental flaw goes to Woodrow Wilson and LBJ. Wilson for being the only Allied leader after WW I to not want to pound Germany into dust (thereby paving the way to WW II), but supporting the KKK, LBJ for The Great Society, but allowing Vietnam to escalate beyond reasonable levels. As for worst president? I'm tempted to say W. Bush, but he's got another 2 years and I'd rather give a couple years to look back at everything in retrospect. He definitely is down there towards the bottom, but for now I'll go with Grant. He meant well when dealing with the South after the Civil War, but he simply wasn't a competent politician. Andrew Jackson, Richard Nixon, and most of the presidents during the Gilded Age are pretty low on my scale too. |

FDR was beyond a shadow of a doubt the best US president; he pulled America out of the Great depression, lead us through most of WW2, and was elected 4 times! Worst? This might sound typical, but Nixon or Bush Jr. |

FDR started the biggest domestic drain on our national budget of all time (social security) so to me he didn't sound that great, but if he was elected 4 times the people must have liked him. |
