I'm guessing because it's way more expensive than our current ways.

We still lose human lives so no, we aren't using robot armies. The unmanned aircrafts would be considered a robot though.

The less humans are involved in war, the more useless and obselete war becomes. If battling factaions are using inexhaustable reasources (robots or cloning, assuming it's cost effective) the sides could potentially fight indeffinitely. You take the human element out of war, you take the moral element out of war and people are less concerned with the destruction.

Besides, major-country-wars like the WWs and such, are obselete anyway. Wars of attrition are no longer feasible ways of conducting combat.

You know, I was going to mention civilian casualties, but unfortunately that's certainly not much of an issue to many people. When was the last time you heard about American soldier casualties in Iraq on the news? Now when was the last time you heard about Iraqi civilians? Not a lot of Americans seem to care about any dead but dead Americans.

I've heard some unofficial estimates that put the Iraqi civilian casualties at over 100,000. Official estimates are...I think something like 30,000-40,000+.

Holy balls, didn't realize that number was so large, why the hell don't they mention that on the news.

I personally don't think it's true.

wow, that's certainly changed my mind... Even if that estimate isn't correct, others were estimated around 16,000. Next time i see my girlfriend's uncle i'm going to ask him how many women and children he killed.. then i'm going to run away really fast.

War would become like a real time war game like Empire Earth or AOE. Wars would end but it would be mainly based on the army with the best technology and tactics.

I say we do all our international diplomacy through Starcraft tournaments from now on. Cheap, safe, and everybody loves Starcraft.
