What does everyone think about Neil Young writing an enitre album protesting the war and Bush, when he isn't even an American citizen. He's been living in California for 30 years (i think) and he is still a citizen of Canada. Do you think he should be writing songs like "Lets Impeach the President" when he couldn't even vote in the last election? I still love his music and i'm glad someone so popular made an album that had a such an uproar in politics, it's just funny a Canadian had to do it.

As long as he knows what he is talking about enough to sing it, I suppose it's ok.
Another example would be "D.O.A." and their album "Live Free or Die." In which many songs attack the war and bush, songs like, "We don't need no god damned war" and "smurf up Bush."
They're a better example because they're music is better.
...Matt was no exception to this. When he stood in the street and noticed his chest started to really hurt again, he made the decision to look down. He screamed like a grown man would scream when that grown man sees a laser burning his chest, and that is like a little girl...

I'll agree with you that the album Living with War isn't Young's best, but i'll be a fan of his for life.
