News: blogs aren't news, they're people's interpretation of news - you can't read two extreems and expect to infer any unbiased assessment. My suggestion: NPR, BBC, CBC. Clinton's loosing weight and getting older, he does look kind of sick, though. Clinton's a smart guy, he knows it; we know it. Like Mr. Sinister said, he's just "fed up". Clinton gets impeached for lying about getting a blow job. Bush lies about the reasons behind a half-billion dollar war (and counting) and 2,500+ US soldiers' deaths (and counting) and he gets to change those reasons (we're fighting terrorism...oh and we're spreading democracy and toppling a dictator) and we re-elect him? |

*Stands up and claps so hard, hands hurt* He certainly isn't the young President that kept my pockets fat in the Nineties. Plus, I think Clinton mentioned something about being up for two or three days, RAISING some 7 BILLION DOLLARS TO HELP END POVERTY< AND CLEAN UP THE ENVORONMENT. His initiative raised several Billion dollars in the few days before that interview, he was probably worn out from doing so much good, then frustrated for being ignored because of right wing propraganda. Here is our ex-prez, trying to do the right thing for his fellow americans, once again, and once again, his good deeds are drowned out by criticism for something he has no control over.. I saw pure genious in that interview on the part of Clinton. He catapulted those topics to the forefront and left a good foothold for the Dems in November, not to mention he mirrored the frustration of millions of Americans on the issue of who is doing what about Terror. Is it so hard to give that man the recognition he deserves? If there is one MAN here who hasn't lied about sex. Either having it when you're not or not having it when you are, you have either never been sexually active, or you cannot speak, and don't know sign language. I understand, blogs aren't News, that is why I read the Newspaper. I like to get people's real input on news stories, though. It helps me to put some emotional attachment to the actual story. It may or may not sway me depending on how well the point is made. I don't just read two extremes, I read a plethora of grays as well as the unbiased story. My point was, stay away from TV news as news as much as possible. It is harder to filter out the crap from the TV, than it is the blogs, or Newspaper.

Clinton raising all that money is a very very very excellent deed. Every president makes mistakes, they're only human. We shouldn't hold the mistakes they made over their heads forever, especially when they're doing good for the world. |

And we should also recognize what "mistakes" are pertinant. And word about Clinton's fundraising. I think Sony's Richard Branson gave like three billion. And hey, God bless democratic ex-presidents. The last two have been insurmountably charitable and philanthropic (Carter's Habitat for Humanity work, Clinton's tsunami, Katrina and (what we've been talking about) Clinton's Global Initiative). What've the recent Repub ex-presidents done? Nixon stayed drunk; Ford went bald and tripped over everything, Regan went crazy (sorry Nancy, I respect you) and George Sr....well, I guess I'll let you slide. |

Oh, I know. What is "Jumps out of airplanes, for personal satisfaction.", Alex. I'll take "Hoops jumped through, for Saudi Oil, for 300". Good point about pertinent mistakes. It's unfortunate that his "doin' the deed" will always overshadow his "good deeds", as long as their are only two prominent parties. I also have to bring up, he held up traffic for like 2 hours in L.A. while he (Clinton) got a haircut that reportedly cost 200$. It sure did look like, in that interview, he was missing out on the good haircuts these days. Wowee! |

 Why in the world would you waste good money on a haircut? Just becuase you're rich, doesn't mean you have to shell out the dough everywhere, especially on something that usually costs 10 dollars... |

Actually uh, the US citizens paid for that haircut. That's the people's haircut. I failed to mention, that was back when he was in office, about '94 or '95. we also paid for the traffic Jam, said haircut created. Now THAT is a "Pertinent Mistake!" Damn tax and spend Dems. <_< |

Sounds like a win-win to me! Let's see, 200$, divided by 1995 population of US (appx 250 Million) Plus intrest of about 1.25% a year for 11 years equals exactly .00000091 cents. Don't spend it all in one place! |

$10 for a haircut?! Damn that is cheap. However I also do not see money spent on a good haircut as a waste. Appearance is everything in this world and comon, you cant start cheaping out starting with the hair. |

But hey...Clinton's still the dawg...he's gotta look good for the ladies. GWB's first Attorney General, Ashcroft, spent $8,000 on drapes to cover up one exposed breast on the "Spirit of Justice" statue in the Great Hall of the Department of Justice building. Ashcroft...what a boob. |
