It's true

Turkey is really a racist country against Muslims, maybe not as much as Israel but pretty close. They don’t allow women to where there headscarf’s there in public offices/places. So any Muslim woman who wants to inter a library for example, has to take of her headscarf. Over there, basically Muslim girls have to chose between a normal life or there religion. But any other religion is able to wear there religious things (i.e. christen crosses and Jewish skull caps) and go everywhere.

And what really stuns me is that turkey is betraying the very religion that put it on the map. Before Islam came there, they were constantly getting there ass kicked by Greece (Trojan War). But after Islam arrived, that poor and siege country became the center of the medieval world. And now, after we helped them prosper and properly hold there borders against Greece, they ban the very religion that made them.

<_<

When did Muslims become a race?

Fine Mike, (am i right about your name?) have it your PC way.

So let me re-phrase the sentence.

Turkey is severely religiously intolerant towards Islam.

Happy now.

P.S. Im pretty sure all the Mundians have the mental capacity to understand what I meant the first time around.

No religious item can enter state offices. It is the Law, and a disinformed person totally strange to Turkish history such as you cannot understand it immediately. For this, you must know the battle between the religious figures and the State in his birth pains in 1919-1923. After this, Mustafa Kemal (who is the person I adore mostly) had enough of religion, said that he even wished all religions were at the bottom of the sea, forcibly seperated state from religion.

Wtf are you babbling about?!?!?! We are from middle Asia, Trojans have nothing to do with us! Looks like you read that book "Turks and Trojans". Utter Bullshit. We were busy battling the Chinese or what was it those days.

Turks were NOT in Anatolia before Islam. We met with Islam at the battle of Talas (go wikipedia) in 751, and in Middle Asia. We were never fighting against the Greece in a trench war. And they were overrun at our first encounter.

More: Turks were NOT made by Islam , had a shamanistic, quasi-monotheistic religion called Tengriism, the ancient Turkic word "tanri" means God. The Khanates adopted Islam because it means good relationship with the superpower of those days, Arabs namely, and several tribes defied this new religion which defied women their rights, and were put to death. The last non-Islamic Turcoman tribes lasted till 12th 14th centuries.

In pre-Islamic Turkic tribes women could fight along men, challenge them in wrestling, and were physically almost equal, living in same environment and upbringing. Wine was our beloved drink. Go figure.

Islam only gave us the access to be the Caliph's elite mercenaries, and at last, even taking power away from him. Do you know why the city of Samarra was built?

The Caliph was angry that the Turks rode their whole lives and would ride around the streets in large groups when going somewhere, often causing chaos and fights, added with conflicts with other mercenaries, gave him an idea.

A city (and that city is Samarra) dedicated to Turkic families who could protect their "racial purity" (We Turks are exogamists and often try or want to marry to foreigners) as well (Arabs are rather racist too) as giving them larger space.

The war is disputed, but most historians agree that it did infact take place but without all the mythological events between the Greek gods and Turkish gods.

Just to let you know

Troy (Truva) located on Hisarlik at Canakkale, one of the Turkish cities in the west of Turkey.

-The War

The first nine years of the war consisted of both war in Troy and wars against the neighboring regions. The Greeks realized that Troy was being supplied by its neighboring kingdoms, so Greeks were sent to defeat these areas.

As well as destroying Trojan economy, these battles let the Greeks gather a large amount of resources and other spoils of war, including women (e.g., Briseis, Tecmessa and Chryseis).

The Greeks won many important battles and the Trojan hero Hector fell..
Still seeking to gain entrance into Troy, clever Odysseus (some say with the aid of Athena) ordered a large wooden horse to be built. Its insides were to be hollow so that soldiers could hide within it.
Once the statue had been built by the artist Epeius, a number of the Greek warriors, along with Odysseus, climbed inside. The rest of the Greek fleet sailed away, so as to deceive the Trojans.
One man, Sinon, was left behind. When the Trojans came to marvel at the huge creation, Sinon pretended to be angry with the Greeks, stating that they had deserted him. He assured the Trojans that the wooden horse was safe and would bring luck to the Trojans.
Only two people, Laocoon and Cassandra, spoke out against the horse, but they were ignored. The Trojans celebrated what they thought was their victory, and dragged the wooden horse into Troy.
That night, after most of Troy was asleep or in a drunken stupor, Sinon let the Greek warriors out from the horse, and they slaughtered the Trojans. Priam was killed as he huddled by Zeus' altar and Cassandra was pulled from the statue of Athena and raped.

After the war
After the war, Polyxena, daughter of Priam, was sacrificed at the tomb of Achilles and Astyanax, son of Hector, was also sacrificed, signifying the end of the war.
Aeneas, a Trojan prince, managed to escape the destruction of Troy, and Virgil's Aeneid tells of his flight from Troy. Many sources say that Aeneas was the only Trojan prince to survive, but this statement contradicts the common story that Andromache was married to Helenus, twin of Cassandra, after the war.
Menelaus, who had been determined to kill his faithless wife, was soon taken by Helen's beauty and seductiveness that he allowed her to live.

The surviving Trojan women were divided among the Greek men along with the other plunder. The Greeks then set sail for home, which, for some, proved as difficult and took as much time as the Trojan War itself (e.g., Odysseus and Menelaus).

Also You calming that you guys ar eathists, is wired how world fact numbers says that yurkey is from 98-85% muslim. And, Religious symbols that are banned in turkey’s public offices, turkeys government picks and chooses witch symbols are banned from public offices. Also, it is agreed world wide, (also a reason that turkey can not join the EU) that the restriction on headscarfs in places of learning while most other religious symbols are allowed and worn freely is disgusting.

It might Interest you to read thsi news article.

"Turks oppose headscarf ban, back religion: poll"

(Reuters, June 14, 2006)

Ankara, Turkey - A majority of Turks say a ban on women wearing the Muslim headscarf in public offices and universities should be lifted and just two fifths favor a military government, according to a poll published on Wednesday.

The survey, conducted by scholars from two Istanbul universities and published in the liberal Radikal daily, shows Turkey, a Muslim but secular country that hopes to join the European Union, to be conservative on social and moral issues.

Three fifths of those canvassed attributed failure in life to a lack of religious faith and said they would oppose their daughter marrying a non-Muslim. Nearly a third said boys and girls should be taught in separate classes at school.

The results of the poll make fairly pleasant reading for Turkey's ruling AK Party, which has Islamist roots, showing two thirds back its efforts -- so far unsuccessful -- to relax a ban on women students and civil servants wearing the headscarf.

Many in the military, academic and judicial establishment view this ban as a key pillar of Turkey's secular order.

More than half said they were happy with the AK Party government. Turkey faces a general election by November 2007.

Forty percent of those polled said they would prefer a military-led government and nearly a third expressed dissatisfaction with the democratic process.

Turkey's powerful armed forces traditionally rank as the institution most respected by Turks. The military has ousted democratically elected governments four times in the past 50 years but has seen its powers trimmed by EU-backed reforms.

The poll confirmed falling support for Turkey joining the EU, down to 57 percent from 74 percent a few years ago.

Ankara began entry talks last October, but faces more tough reforms and is also under pressure to establish ties with EU member state Cyprus under its internationally recognized Greek Cypriot government. Ankara now backs breakaway Turkish Cypriots.

Slightly more than half of the Turks surveyed said political freedoms should be restricted and that human rights could be curtailed for the sake of national interests.

Nearly half of those surveyed said tourists spoil Turkish morality and harm its culture.

Conservative Turks are uncomfortable with the spectacle of naked or near-naked tourists soaking up the sun at Turkish resorts, though tourism is a key pillar of Turkey's economy.

The survey, conducted in March and April by Isik and Sabanci Universities in Istanbul, canvassed the views of 1,846 people in more than 20 towns and cities across the country of 72 million.

The city of Samarra because Abbasid caliphate's Turkic and Armenian slave soldiers -known as Mamluk- agitated the citizens of Baghdad, provoking riots. The capital of the Caliphate was moved from Baghdad to the new city of Samarra later that year by Caliph Al-Mu'tasim.

Medieval Islamic writers believed that the name “Samarra” is derived from the Arabic phrase, “Sarre men ra’a” "ÓÑ ãä ÑÃì" which translates to “A joy for all who see”. It was changed later by Armenian soldiers to "Samarra" "ÓÇÁ ãä ÑÃì" which means "A sad for all who see".

Where is the word "turk" here in the war?

Trojans have never been Turks. Never they are. And the enemy isn't Greek.

They are Achaeans, both sides can be considered Greek for the purpose.

First of all, geographically Trojans are considered Turks. Just because they weren’t called Turks. (Turkey didn’t exist back then) Troy is in turkey now, therefore they are geographically considered Turks. (This is other then the fact that most historians say the Trojans were Turks)

Second, are you blind, ignorant or just plain fucked up, as you can see, I re-phrased the statement for all you P.C. people out there and im sure most Mundians understood what I meant by racist. Either way, racism or religiously intolerant both are bad and if I said you were racist to someone because they were Muslim, im pretty sure every one who herd that would understand what I meant. But anyhow, we will always have overly P.C. people like you in the world, well I guess that’s what happens to you when you’re a hard line nationalist….pity.

Fourthly, geographically Achaeans are considered Greek. This is also a widely accepted fact in history and with historians.

And last ,…..clog up the thread with pure information, lol….how bout I start making stuff up instead. Or should I go at a slower pace so your brain can properly absorb all this information. (Sorry mundians, im gonna have to say things at a s-l-o-w-e-r rate because khan can’t keep up)

P.S. There really is no difference between any kinds of nationalism except which race they are based on. KKK, Nazis, Turkish nationalism, White nationalism, there all the same shit, they all include some form of restriction for the minority populace ,they all include brutal repression and they all include ethnic cleansing at one point or another in there histories. Keep that in mind.
