You know, I saw a shirt that is somewhat like that... The police stopping a guy and saying "Put the guns down." Personally, I wouldn't mind owning a revolver, but it'd be more of something to look at than fire. For firing purposes, same as Pierce. |

Well far as picking a weapon i'd stick with my trusty .45 or a H 'n K Their reliable and you know that when you pull the trigger, unlike most new gear they wont jam or god forbid have the cartidge suddenly fall out right when you need it.And belive me this happens regularly with a lot of guns |

Never saw that in an FN (C1 or C2). I did see a bad batch of ammo once, though, where the extractor would rip off the back of the casing, leaving the brass in the firing chamber for the next round to get tangled in. That was fucking unpleasant. I jammed three rifles that way before they decided to retire the batch and get a different one from the armoury. I had a Sterling run away on me too, again from a bad batch of ammo, when there wasn't quite enough of a charge on the round to throw the breech block back to the trigger assembly. I got a load of shit from the range master over blowing 30 rounds in an uncontrolled fashion. I was deep in shit -- ordered off the range and threatened with a whole bunch of disciplinary sanctions -- until other people had exactly the same problem. Then the range master (sweet guy that he was) just grunted, nodded my way and said "OK, you're off the hook". On the pistols side, I've fired off a few (been only formally trained in the one), including the venerable .45, and prefer the Browning. I guess your first is always your favourite. |

During the major military budget cuts of the Trudeau/Chretien Liberal years the Canadian Armed Forces had a lot of equipment trouble. Especially with anything renewable. Both ammo batches that I had the problems with were well past their "use by" dates. Budget cuts didn't allow for proper resupply. The Browning Hi-Power is also ultra-reliable that way. Get the one with the enhanced safety design and you could have one loaded, round in chamber, and safely use it as a hammer. I've never seen (nor heard of) one of the regular models jamming ever at the ranges -- even ones that weren't especially well-maintained. |

H 'n K's are probably the most reliable arms producer, personaly ive never had any trouble with their weapons-and belive me no one wants to be caught in the embarassing position of having your gun jam or the clip falling out {wich happens a LOT with all the M16 models} whilst in the middle of a firefight. |

Given a choice between an H&K and an M16? Yeah. H&K all the way. Given a choice between an H&K and an AK-whatever? The choice isn't so clear. H&K's are nicer machines, but nowhere near as rugged and durable (not to mention simple to make). |
