If only radiation worked the same way it does in cartoons

But it doesn't, so instead of getting weird superpowers, me and a few billion fellow Eurasians will either simply die or get hugely malformed babies and then die.

they want to set up pro-western governments in the middle east. it is a pathetic attempt to stop oil being sold in euros and to keep the petro dollar strong, because if that remains strong then so will american supremecy.

You think we invaded Iraq because of oil being sold in Euro's? Sorry to burst your bubble, but our president could give a half rats ass less about "euros" or anything else of importance at this point in time. It's nothing against Europe, Bush is just an asshole. Plain and simple, period.

Iran is a very powerful country, it is the most powerful country in middle east, they are twice as powerful as the saudis. america cannot invade them succesfully, their army is already too thinly spread. although American arrogance will ensure they still try it anyway.

You keep saying "American arrogance", do you see anything on this forum that says any American is pro-invasion of the middle east? It's not "American arrogance", it's poor leadership. Bush is not America, not even close. So, before you start this "anti-America" propaganda BS, look around you and get your facts straight.

true... and for that reason i don't actually want him to do that anyway. And the bigger result of a chuck of glass that large would be retaliation... chances are i am dead too, and the world looks more like a marble

EDIT - and on a more related note, its just one last chance for Bush to prove he won (although he won't). He wants people to like him in his own country.

Americas government is arrogant. they beleive they can do anything just from looking at the basic facts.

"mmmm, we have 50,000 more troops than them, we will win, go for it."

they don't realise that their troops are ill-trained and badly led and they lose far more ment than they anticipated.

America could not invade Iran, it is a very powerful country. it might even be able to fight off an israeli invasion.

America is still going to try though, with its thinly spread army.

Isn't a invasion of Iran completely off the cards now? If not then the Bush administration has gone insane. By the time Americas ready to invade Iran will probablyl be a liberal democracy.

'bout time aswell, maybe the liberal democrats will reform America and uphold the American ideals rather than claiming to uphold them but ignoring them.

I couldn't agree with this more. But, the difference here is the included word, government, behind American. Contrary to popular belief, the American citizens are not just a bunch of fat, lazy, war hungry, illiterate uncompassionate fools. Just so you understand that. And you're right, invading Iran isn't a good idea at this point in time. It's not possible with current troop numbers, and Iran isn't going to lie down and not defend themselves.

Indeed. It's just the American government that fits that belief.

I wish people would quit repeating the oil myth though. We could have purchased it and gotten kick backs like France or Germany if all we wanted was oil. Bush acted in good faith, regardless of how misguided his policy was.

I don't think it's about oil. I do, however, think that there are those who work along side Dubya that have made a profit off the Iraqi war. Good faith? I'm still not convinced of that.

You do realize that everything the government does is profit for someone, right?

Exactly. But the "someone" that gets the profit isn't someone like you or I. It's more like one of their own, or someone who's already wealthy enough they don't need to collect anymore profit. Am I wrong?

If only radiation worked the same way it does in cartoons

But it doesn't, so instead of getting weird superpowers, me and a few billion fellow Eurasians will either simply die or get hugely malformed babies and then die.

So Falcon's wet dreams will come true, you mean?
