The question is simple, do you belive in God? You might not like this thread because it will make a huge debat and tear people that are usaully okay with each other apart, but I like religious debats (But no stupid post or anything). To start it off, I do not belive in God. I belive there could be a God, but because of the phrase "The energy that created God was allways there, and will allways be ther" Why can't the energy that created our universe be like that so we can cut out the middle man?

My theroy on how the universe was made:

There was nothingness. Pure nothingness. Then, out of no where, energy creates a universe. This universe has horrible laws of physics, but energy from that universe leaks out to create another universe bubble, the same thing happens with this universe and ect. Soon there are an infinit amount of universes. And acording the the phares "In and infinit amount of monkeys were on an infinit amout of type writers, one of them would type Shakespare's books." Eventually a good universe is made. That would be ours.

Is there a God? I personally don't buy 100% into the Bible's description of God(loving, all-knowing yet vindictive and vengeful and a tyrant full of rage and prejudice), but I think it's possible that there is a god watching over everything. It depends on what someone wants to call "God".

I'm strictly agnostic, I don't believe in God but I can't prove their isn't one. The existence of God wouldn't change how I live my life, so it is irrelevant to me.

There's a name for that: Ignosticism

Thanks, Ignosticism pretty much sums up my beliefs.

I find the word 'god' so completely vague as to signify absolutely nothing.

I was a christian then I found exit mundi. Members such as Dr. Jim and [][][] helped influence me to athiesm and now I wouldn't dare go back to organized religion.

Kinda I really was never religous anyways. I was always questioning christian beliefs and never getting any real answers. I was more agonistic than anything when I joined EM.

I guess the answers you got were the ones I got in my "Christian" years. You know, "read your Bible, it'll tell you everything". That's why I take Christianity about as serious as a grain of sand anymore.

Wow, I guess I'm the only one who voted yes (well until Falcon gets here and starts smiting people) I can't explain everything right now, but I can say one thing. I believe God exists, I have no absoulte proof but I have faith and that's all I need.

I'm the same as you, Katastrof. I believe in God, you just need to have faith. Looks like most of EM is athiest though and that's fine with me.

I wonder why EM attracts so many athiests and agnostics- most of the English speaking world still has a majority of believers in one religion or another (95% in the US and 70% in the UK I believe).

As of right now, I'm agnostic. I can't affirm or deny a god at the moment. I believe that, if there is a god, there must be proof for its existence. I don't mean some "logical stretch" proof. If I'm to find this proof, I'd become a theist. However, I would not join any organized religion.

Also, I'll be the first to doubt your theory. That first universe would have to be a 1 in an infinite shot, and not just any random universe. Entropy is my reason.
