Mid-Summer's Night Dream was good. I haven't read Ceasar though.

I highly recommend Caesar. It's a little tedius, but if you like Roman history, Caesar stays pretty true to history.

Either Titus Andronicus, or as you said, Caesar.

My Theatre Arts teacher was just in the play Midsummer Night's Dream. It was the same play, but put into modern times in a large city. Was very interesting.

I wouldnt mind it, if the teacher wasnt a douche. Like, we have to read Romeo and Juilet, which isnt all that terrible, but she makes the dumbest kids read, so one act is like a week long, and she thinks every other line is funny and does that annoying bitch laugh. I just wanna smack the kid in the face who's like "where.... art.... thufiasojfou..." and teabag the teacher.

I guess the point of this is, if you're shoe size is more than your IQ, instead of banning books, we should ban you.

I hated....more like loathed Romeo and Juliet. Christ, it was like getting teeth pulled with a rusty pair of pliars. What pissed me off was when you heard that there was going to be a quiz on the act you were reading that day. How could I be tested on something I wasn't conscious for? And there always that one kid that couldn't read at a pre-school level and they always volunteered to read. Next you would see half the class passing around a razor blade and slitting their wrists because boredom was turning into depression. I think any teacher that makes their class read Romeo and Juliet out loud should be teabagged by an elephant.

My teacher had us act it out like a play.

Imagine sitting though a weeklong monotonous rendition of that play.

Or better yet, having to work with people who know nothing about acting.

I hate that play.

We did that for Mid-Summer Nights Dream.

It actually wasn't that bad considering we didn't have to take it seriously.

my teacher was very serious about it, he kept talking about theater stuff, and because I was the only theater kid in the class he called on me all the time to explain things, usually when I was in the middle of a nap.

That really sucks.

Our teacher had no control over our class so it wasn't like she was going to keep control even if she wanted too. I'm pretty sure I played Puck.

I feel for you. It must have been like being slowly tortured over a long period of time. I guess you already understand where I stand with Romeo and Juliet, hate is an understatement......

I've never been forced to read a book in my life. There have been times where I've had to for good grades, and then record them onto a sheet, needing a so and so amount of minutes.

I've either flat out lied about it, or simply wrote down the thousands or so books that I've read far back before hand.

Some may call this cheating, I call it using the corrupt systems own flawed rules.

"Who was the most beautiful Seraph in Heaven?"
And I reply, "Seraph Michael?"
"No."
And I reply, "Seraph Samael?"
"No."
And I reply in finality; "Then surely, Seraph Seraphiel."
"No.
The most beautiful Angel in Heaven was,
Seraph Lucifer
And as He fell, His feathers departed
Thusly, were the Souls of man and woman
Tis the reason why He wishes so desperately for
His Lost Feathers... His Wings...
To fly
Back Home."

Let's see... The last book i was assigned (Or forced, however you look at it) to read was "Tracks." I managed to not even read the entire book; it is not a hard read, as long as you realize it is from several character's perspectives on each chapter.

Now, it did have some merit with context for details and hidden meanings behind simple imagery. Unfortunately, the book was not good enough to finish reading, in my opinion. College English will not give you any more interesting reads than High School did, as far as I have seen...

The real kicker, of course, is that I don't find the book interesting, yet I can sit and read the Dictionary.

Shakespeare's tragedies are much better than his comedies, in my opinion. And, uh, that includes Romeo & Juliet...although really, the likes of Othello and Macbeth are the best.

I am your new best freind. Whenever you have a question about the series....ask me. Those seven books were my bible for years. I started reading the series back in 1988...I bet you weren't even born yet! There is also a fantastic website it's a fansite, maintained by the hardest of the hardcore tower junkies.

www.thedarktower.net

If you ever have Tower question, do not hesitate to ask me.
