Thats "oh so true". Kids think they are indestructable until shown how vunerable they really are. Sex is a double edged sword and both sides can cut equally as deep and leave similar scars. Like you said, it's all about being properly educated and showing responsibility for making a possible life changing decision. |

Education only goes so far though. No matter how much you educate kids you won't stop all immature sex. |

Sad, but true Pierce. The saddest part is it only takes one split-second decision to change a life for ever....... |

Especially if premature ejaculation is as high on the rise as I think it is. All that aside, parents refuse to discipline their children like they should be anymore. You want them to learn not to stick their finger in a light socket? Let 'em do it once, see why it's a bad idea. Children have to be literally SHOWN the world, because as imaginative and idealistic as they are, their grasp on reality is still barely forming together. Stand by, by all means, to protect the child from any REAL harm, but a small bit of this is necessary to understand certain parts of the world. Another problem is that we are throwing parents in jail for what used to be normal disciplinary action: beating the stupid out of your kids. Now, I don't mean abuse, abuse is wrong in ANY case, but a not-so-gentle swat on the arse taught kids a GOOD lesson. We're too worried of how we're raising our kids...THAT WE'RE NOT RAISING OUR KIDS. ...although, on a side note, where were these kids when *I* was in fifth grade?! |

Having sex in an empty classroom? OK, this was too tempting not to say it... I only blame idiot parents unable to raise their children, who then go and blame everything they can, claiming there should be no violence, sex and so on in the media. It's absurd. Why should the people who enjoy their share of blood on virgin boobs be affected by people who can't even teach their children some basic things? |

I don't know if discipline is a good method of keeping kids from having sex. If they want to do it, it can be done anywhere at any time, like a playground during recess. I think showing the dangers of not making responsible and careful decisions might, and ONLY might, show them sometimes it isn't all it's cracked up to be. It ultimatley comes down two peoples decision, the children on the playground. It is a scarey scenario.... And ANT, I do agree that kids now are raised TOTALLY different from when I was a child. Talking back or dis-obeying usually meant getting the shit knocked out of me and when I look back on it, I'm glad it happened. |

I don't believe kids are entirely stupid and/or immature. They can learn. They just need someone to learn from. Not by violence, nor coddling. By understanding. Parents need to teach their kids that their actions have consequences. |

you have to educate, remove part of the mystery of things. If you never talk about weed, or sex, or sunburn, then when it comes to a point when the kid is in a situation dealing with it they will either be curious or afraid. If its curious (as it will be 99% of the time) then they will find out... one way or another. |

Okay this is a shock and a half: First you're telling me 5 graders had sex but a fifth grader being what 10 or 11 the male probelly hasn't passed puburty yet. (Yes they're going through it but that doesn't mean they can do it.) I find it doubtful that MTV could have shown a kid how to have sex. Unless I am greatly naive to what the media machine has devolved into... Second where the hell are the frikin parents! What the F***! The children of today scare me, not because of who they are (they may have a tough outside but they're all p*ssies on the inside) but of what they are going to do to the future of this world. The parents of today should get a clue on how to raise their kids and stop living as if they are the most important beings on the planet. The parents are essentially mature animals who haven't mentally matured. So they play the kid and their opwn kid follows the great example: selfish, obnoxious, rude, and "I'm better than any one else because I said so". When these kids face the real world they're all gonna be assholes who don't wanna work, don't want to help anybody but their selves, and complaining about how the world around them screws them even though in reality it is them screwing up the world with spent welfare checks on smokes instead of something useful. Third the world is now run through the "Order through Choas" ideaolgy. Where better to start than the family; the building blocks of society. |

LOL, Stop blaming Kids stupidity on Rap and 50! Iv listened to 50's "bitch get in my car" a lot. I just don’t listen to it around my parents. But anyway, just because I listened to that song, do you think im gonna go out and screw a girl....NO. It's kids stupidity who do that shit, there is some negative influence on children from rap and 50 im not denying that, but if your stupid enough that you cant differentiate between media and reality, then you should be classified as a mentally handicap person cause you don’t have a grasp of reality yet. As for rebelling, im not trying to make fun of rock or whatever, but aren’t the people who love rock usually the people who say they want to be different because they don’t like the system but are usually there ones ending up living in there parents basements when there like 30. And as for my school, why is it always the people who like rock that mostly get beat up and the people that like hip-hop/rap are usually the ones doing the beating up? Also, there’s this kid named Ashley in our school and when me and my friends were walking back from the plaza (lunch) he and this girl were smoking weed right behind us. This kid is a skater and a rocker. I said 'Wow, Ashley’s you must be a Big Boy now, doing drugs and all" I use to go to some house parties that were unsupervised a while back, and to say the least, there was a lot of “inappropriate things” going on there A lot of the kids my age would go upstairs or to the bathroom tougher and wouldn’t come out for a long time. I’m happy I stopped going to those, and iv seen a difference in my attitude. Iv become a lot less aggressive since 06/07. Back then, I use to have no respect for anything, use to violently push people out of my way in the halls, pick fights for reasons that could be easily solved be other means that are less violent ect… Anyways I want to conclude by saying, don’t blame everything on media. If your ass is too stupid to differentiate between reality and media, then you deserve to be made lots of money off. |

Saber, the kids in my school that listened to hip hop were the pussies and the "tougher" guys listened to rock, it changes with each school. Also, don't confuse punk with rock. Two, more kids are influenced by that than you think, just because you aren't doesn't mean everyone isn't. |

One: Interesting Two: This is what im saying. If 50 says go do drugs or go kill someone, and that persons ass is dumb enough to do it, not because they want to but just because 50 said so, then they should either seek some mental help, get back in touch with reality, be classified as mentally retarded or never come in touch with another form of media again. |

It's going to get worse as time passes. Today’s youth will teach tomorrows children ( as parents) the same shit and the amount of people we'll have to put in the mental institutions will get greater, therefore creating an unbreakable chain. We might as well get it over with. lol |
