I'd like to hear Falcon's opinions on this.
Wine in hand, in the other, Quran,
Both halal I do and haram,
In this incomplete world of a sham,
Neither Pagan I am, nor Musselman!

Omar Khayyam

Come, come, whoever you are,
Wanderer, idolater, worshipper of fire,
Come even though you have broken your vows a thousand times,
Come, and come yet again.
Ours is not a caravan of despair

I'd like to hear Falcon's opinions on Fred Phelps too, but that's another topic entirely.

I wonder how long it takes, before the removal of the First Amendment, makes us angry enough to reinforce the Second Amendment.

As far as any of us being targeted, they've had me on the list for a while. They just know i'm too inclined to keep what I have to make a move.

Remember: Silencing dissenters is only effective on a higher level. The ones that do the most damage, are the ones allowed on the streets to spread the word and make the entire cause seem ludicrous.

Anyone consider that the government may now be targeting one of us?

No.

I know that is a joke but this site is very non-revolutionary compared to others I have seen.

I live in Oklahoma, United States.

Families here are obligated to stay with their elders and take care of them until they are DEAD. Failure to do so actually ostracizes you from society, and even getting many jobs here, government laws be damned.

I ALREADY have zero free speech without the Church coming down on you like the Rock of Jesus Christ himself. (Who, by the way, plays a MEAN guitar riff.) If you even hint that you play D&D, suddenly you're classified by the police department as a potential risk.

People have been arrested here for living next DOOR to drug dealers, regardless of whether they knew them or not...while the actual dealer is at home playing the 360.

These rules may change a lot of things in other states...but Oklahoma was ALREADY a fascist state. They just hid it behind religion.

Only other state that gets my vote as worse for fascism: UTAH. *Shudder*

That freaking sucks. We should seriously get ready to have a rebellion..

Isn't that true of a lot of places? Although in the US, all that money and power tends to exacerbate things.

It depends. Some are very easily coersed into believing anything our government says. But, there is a growing number of people who aren't the stereotypic "dumb as sheep" "lazy" Americans everyone sees us as.

Can you show who is running a "better" democracy currently? I don't disagree with you saying America's democracy is in trouble right now. But, is there a perfect democracy out there?

personally i beleive that democracy as a whole is a very difficult and flawed way to run a country because the average person knows very little about politics and so cannot vote on somthing they do not understand and that leads to counties making stupid mistakes and doing stupid ( and somtimes quite evil) things.

Americas democracy is failing because the people (as a whole) no longer have their own views, they have the views that the government has imprinted on them over the last 80 years.

to make the perfect democracy you need to educate everyone about politics and keep the government almost completely seperate from the people.

its hard to explain.

and America is a country which has manipulated the views of the people to such an extent that they are voting and supporting policies that shoot them in the foot, they regulaly censor news and T.V and the results of it are showing.

to be honest i think a absoloute monarchy is the best way to run a country.

I agree with this. We, as a nation, are just beginning to come out from under our "protective shell" the government built around us. Not meaning right at this time, but it all started during the 1960's. And even though I am proud to be American, I don't think we will remain the nation we were if the recent trend of political corruption and propaganda continues. You did make a good point.....if someone disagrees with American policies, they are immediatley labeled an enemy. And it's not always the truth.

Problem is, in a monarchy, corruption of the government is absolute. Meaning there would be no "watch dog" groups calling out the guilty parties, and the media would be more of a puppet than it is now. And power and corruption always walk hand in hand.
