Because all three focus around: *Believe or you go to hell forever. *Women must be quasi chattel, and are men's property. *Killing is ok, as long as you kill "witches, heretics, fags, dykes, unsubmissive women" |

I'll add to this question. Why do Abrahamic religions stereotype each other? |

Because they each believe that their particular way is right, and therefore that others are damned heretics. When attempting to condemn people and eliminate any chance for reasoned thought, a stereotype is very helpful (see numerous examples of penalised groups in a society, most famously Jews in Nazi Germany). |

So all black people want to pimp women because they listen to rap music? Or how bout that all asians are good at math? Or how bout all white people give their children time outs? Or what about that all Eastern European women became housekeepers right after they are married? Hell what about that all Jews are stiff on money? Or that all Muslims are extremists. How about that all Irish are drunks? Or that all English people have bad teeth? These are all f'ing stereotypes that all sound as stupid as your points on Abrahamic religons. None of them are true including yours. Generalizing a religion or a race is prejudice plain and simple. One person does not present the standerd but rather the exception... |

Truth hurts much? Why deny a written fact? Stupid analogies and silly rhetoric won't get you anywhere. All are same. "Believe and bend over to my Gawd or burn, die and go to hell, not to mention the defeated heathen's wives and daughters will be slaves." ![]() http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/long.html http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/inj/long.html Read the bloody truth. From the very lips of your "Lord." Genesis God punishes Eve, and all women after her, with the pains of childbirth and subjection to men. 3:16 God tells Abram that all males must be circumcised, even those whom Abram had bought with money. There isn't the slightest evidence in this passage, or in any other in the Bible, that the biblical God disapproves of slavery. 17:12-13, 23, 27 God is angry. He decides to destroy all humans, beasts, creeping things, fowls, and "all flesh wherein there is breath of life." He plans to drown them all. 6:7, 17 God repeats his intention to kill "every living substance ... from off the face of the earth." But why does God kill all the innocent animals? What had they done to deserve his wrath? It seems God never gets his fill of tormenting animals. 7:4 Sarah, after giving birth to Isaac, gets angry again at Hagar (see Gen.16:5-6) and tells Abraham to 'cast out this bondwoman and her son." God commands Abraham to "hearken unto her voice." So Abraham abandons Hagar and Ishmael, casting them out into the wilderness to die. 21:10-14 BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD OF CARNIVOROUS ELITISM!!! - Moses. |

The standard for Abrahamic faiths is their relevant holy books: The Torah, the Bible and the Qur'an for the Big Three. (Although why Judaism is considered one of the Big Three always escapes me.) Read those books. Read them for what's contained in them, not for what's been filtered out of them to make their messages palatable. These books are fucking vile! They're full of the most hateful, most dangerous, most downright disgusting words ever put down in writing and venerated. You want racism? Read about the "Chosen People" and the atrocities they committed both in the name of their fictitious being and, if we're to believe the stories, with the outright assistance of Him. (Read also about the atrocities committed by said fictitious being directly, again if you're prone to believing in Him.) You want more racism? Well God (in His MPD alter-ego "Jeshua ben Yusuf") flatly said that His message wasn't for anybody except the Jews -- his Chosen People again. He even humiliated a non-Jew asking for his aid. The only reason Christianity nowadays applies to anybody non-Jewish is because Saul of Tarsus, sent to destroy Christ's teachings, succeeded at his task and went off-message. Not that Saul of Tarsus was any better, mind you. Just read his rants on women and on homosexuality for more hatred, loathing and fear. Shall I continue with the Qur'an and Hadith? Here's a free hint: it's not any different at its core. That, old fellow, is the standard -- written down clearly in black on white. This is not the exception. This is not looking for the extreme fringes and claiming that everybody is this way. This is looking at the words that every Jew/Christian/Muslim/whatever reads, holds holy and claims to follow. |

Why do people cling to imaginary things even after reading all these? Answer : Fear of Afterlife and death. I'm completely content that even if this God exists, he must be so crazy and bloodthirsty that all of us will be in Hell. No Covenant made with him is worth it. HE will BETRAY all of them. |

![]() Right know, in some places, they kill you if you dont believe in God (like afghanistan). The only reson people are able to do this is because the majority do believe in god. If somehow, the religious population changes to overwhelmingly favour the Athists, then you will be killed if you do believe in god ( like china). It's just an ever spinning wheel of violence that shouldent be blamed on faith or lack of faith, but on Man. Period. |

Could you stop being an ass, please? Dude, I live a 20 minute stroll from a major Buddhist temple. I'm not seeing a lot of people dying to visit it. There are churches all over the place here (most of them state-run). The people in them are viewed with some official suspicion, but they are, largely, left unmolested. Indeed the only "molesting" that occurs is for the special holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.) where the police won't allow anybody to enter the church that isn't carrying a membership card. (The Chinese are insanely curious about what goes on inside churches -- and the stories they tell about it are really funny! -- so for special events they tend to want to slip inside and see it for themselves. They don't want to join. They just want to see the rituals. Some of them make fake membership cards so they can look.) Indeed the only religions that get molested here are the ones that work on the sly. Certain brands of Christian missionaries who have no problem breaking the "no false witness" commandment to further the aims of their imaginary being, for example get rounded up wholesale periodically and ejected from the country. The people they infect with their brand of radical, scuzzball Christianity tend to wind up spending long hours at the police station answering questions as well. (I'm proud to say that I turned in a group of such missionaries because they repulsed me so much -- endangering not only their foreign colleagues with their antics, but too all the people they were preaching to. Basically taking advantage of the locals' good nature to put them at risk for jail. Lovely bunch of fuckers. All in the name of their fantasy fiction creation.) Groups like the Falun Dafa also get mistreated. Nowhere near as badly as the western press (and the Falun Dafa's PR machine) make it out to be, but still shockingly bad. On the other hand, given that the Falun Dafa is basically China's answer to Scientology (just go read their actual materials for evidence -- not their PR but their "scripture"-equivalent), it's not too surprising that they get treated like shit. Scientology does too in every civilised country. Only the USA protects that huge scam racket. But being killed for believing in God? Bullshit. Purest, unadulterated, paranoid, American-style Christianity bullshit. |

the Bolsheviks didn't beleive in god, did they go around killing christians? No, they did not, they simply outlawed the church and left christianity in the Soviet Union to die out on its own. No killing is requiered to destroy religion although you can speed up the process with some beatings and ill-treatment. |

What a load of shit. In Roman times, and Greek times, I don't remember historic records of people killing people who didn't believe or know Zeus, Demeter or whatever god they had, existed.
![]() Atheists are people who dont give a shit on others unless they begin ruining the society with their imaginary friends. Stop descending them to religious asshats. Period.
Very good point, perfectly explained, without missing things. |
