So back to flags. Why is anybody loyal to a flag (or to the country said flag represents)? Is there a single country on the Earth that's worthy of loyalty?

Catch-22 ? This seems vaguely familiar. What movie/book had the main character saying something to this effect?

"I realized that I was fighting for a whole bunch of countries. Then I realized it is impossible for all of them to be worth dying for."

It could be in Catch-22. It sounds like the kind of thing Heller would have written. I haven't read, though, so I don't now.

i wasn't saying their are people here that think Israel should be destroyed, i was stating the reason why people burn flags, namly they appose self-determination for the Jews, and ultimatly it would be an act of hipocracy for America not to help Israel because America is a country which claims to support self-determination for any peoples.

i was completely serious when i said that thing about not needing to kill to stop religion and to be honest, i don't see anything wrong with it, its perfectly correct and has worked in practise.
