Once (Hitler) became chancellor of Germany (Thankyou Hindenburg...) he arranged for the Reichstag building (their parliment) to be partially burned. He blamed the commies and was granted emergency dictorial powers for 4 years. He used the powers to pull Germany out of the depression without BS commities and endless paperwork. This was when he began to reveal his racism. Because of how well he pulled the country out of depression, no one cared what he was doing to the Jews.

And once he had the Jews under control, he went after the Slavs.

get lurned history

Look at the publication date of Mein Kampf. Then read it. Then try and tell me again that his anti-Semitism was late in the game.

Did the Germans swallow his anti-Semitism entirely until later in the game? No. This doesn't change the fact that Hitler had a hate-on for Jews from pretty much day one of his political career. Which was the issue under discussion when you said "He started doing this before his racism was revealed." Because his racism? Was revealed long before he was a political powerhouse.

Next time you "learn" history, learn it with your brain turned on.

Harsh words from our friend as ever, but it's true - Germans knew about Hitler's anti-Semitism, but chose to ignore it because, y'know, he seemed like such a great guy...cough. Wheeze.

To hell with that.

Yes, he wrote that from jail after trying to violently take over Germany.

But no one knew he was actually going to do anything to the Jews.

I concede, they knew he was racist if they read the book. I was not aware it was a popular publication before his rise to power.

I thought that he was racist, but no one expected this to affect his politics.

I admit defeat. I suppose I need to study Hitler and Nazi Germany fully before deciding I know what I'm talking about. It's a bad habit of mine.
The vast majority of schooling is spent teaching young minds what is heresy and not worth considering. The rest is spent scoffing at closed-minded individuals refusing to accept the new sciences of their time.

If you look closely at his beginings in the party, his whole function in the party was to infiltrate it and set up a scapegoat in the national jewry. His job was to speak and incite anti-semitism in the party. But, when he got there he discovered it was already there.

My (sadly passed on) great-aunt, the mid-level Nazi functionary, would beg to differ. They didn't know the scale of what he was planning, but the Jews were the scapegoat since before Hitler rose to power.

It was a best-seller. In several languages. Including English.

Here's a basic clue: don't bother trying to defend Hitler. For each good thing you can find about him -- and there's lots there! -- you can find a dozen bad.

Consider the implication of that previous sentence.

I know someone who traced their family back to Germany to the name of Hitler. I know Hitler had no children, but I believe he had a brother (sister?) that did. I wonder if it's possible if it's the same Hitler. Same time period...

I remember a TV programme once in which Hitler's last remaining relatives were traced to the USA. Of course, the name 'Hitler' was long gone!

Hitler had no idea who burned the Reichstag, he honestly didn't know, the rest of his party didn't tell him for a reason called. . . . . . . plausable Deniability.

ofcourse, a Few years later Herman Georing was at a party and people were discussing how nice the reichstag was and how much of a shame it was that it was burned and Georing (who was completely pissed) stood up and screamed somthing like "Only I truly know anything about the Reichstag fire, because it was i who burnt it!" and then he slapped his thigh and colapsed into a chair laughing.

And Hindenburg did not like Hitler, he was incredibly reluctent to make him Chancellor but was forced to by the situation and he also gave him that position to make him stop causing problems for Hindenburg and making Demands, but he didn't.

And Hitler had his racism from almost when he was a teenager and his reasons become obvious after some research:

He was almost killed in WW1 because a fellow soldier got scared and ran off, he happened to be jewish

Hitlers Commander was Jewish and he was constantly making promises to hitler and not keeping them

Hitler lost a job he had because a jewish man told his employer some lies.

and while Mein Kampf shows hitlers racism, it was never published until later in his career, by which time it was too late for anyone to stop him, he tried to get it published but failed and the truth is, if he had managed to get it published when he tried then he wouldn't have got into power because someone would have stopped him or hindenburg would have used it as an excuse to oust him.

It was published in 1925...before even the Wall Street Crash.

I think it was more a case of his notoriety by that time pushing the demand for the book up. However, it was available all the time during his rise to power, for all and sundry to read.

i guess it just didn't really get noticed until later on and in 1933 hitler then had the power to publish it on a massive scale and tell everyone of it.

Mein Kampf was published in 1925 (Vol. I) and 1926 (Vol. II), you fucking Nazi apologist! The first English abridgement of it was available in 1933 with the first full translation made available (and distributed throughout the English-speaking world) in 1939.

Keep in mind that this is the translation which has an oft-quoted line in it by wannabe neo-Nazi fuckheads like you:

Quote:

The Jew's life as a parasite in the body of other nations and states explains a characteristic which once caused Schopenhauer, as has already been mentioned, to call him the 'great master in lying.

Oh, and as to the "nobody really noticed it until blah blah blah bullshit" -- the book sold well enough that while he was in prison he was able to afford a Mercedes. By the time he was chancellor in 1933 he owed a tax debt (which was then waived) of ~400,000 Reichsmark (equivalent to about 6 million modern US dollars). TAXES. Not royalties!
