On Camera:
Wrestlebowl - Las Vegas, Nevada.

I felt the tug of the referee at my arm, the sound of the bell being drowned out by the mixed reactions from the crowd; half cheering and the other half booing and screaming muddled insults that swam in my ears, as I felt Quinn’s body finally give out; my hands releasing and dropping her to the mat I pushed back, a moment of shock setting in as my hand went through my hair.

As I rose to my feet, I felt the smooth touch of the leather beneath my fingertips, the grip of the referee’s hand on my wrist as he lifted my hand into the air; it still felt surreal; the noises around me like I was in a fishbowl and could only hear the echoes from the outside; instinctively I pressed the faceplate against my chest, I could feel my heart beating against it, hammering as though it would leap from my chest if I realized this was real.

I looked down at the mat where Quinn still lay, I felt the smile cross my face as the referee released my wrist and I threw both hands around the belt, cradling it to my chest as I stared down at my …. Friend. I looked out to the crowd, many still cheering me and the smile spread, I thrust the belt into the air and the cheers rose above the boos, a laugh catching in my throat as I felt his arms wrap around me,

And that was the moment it became real for me; his arms locked around my waist, pulling me back against him as the cameras had already moved on to the next piece of action for the night; turning in his arms my lips founds his, smiling into my victory kiss as I leaned again him, shaking my head slightly.

“You did it.” his words were the clearest thing I had ever heard, my hand pressing against his cheek as I stared into his eyes and nodded slowly. He released me and stepped back, taking the belt from my hand he placed it carefully over my shoulder, patting the faceplate with a grin, I felt my own face grin to match his, jumping forward to kiss him again; the elation of it all setting in now… “I love you…” the words fell from my lips against his and he pulled back, his hands tucking my wild curls behind my ears as he stared into my eyes…

“Love you too, Champ.”

Off Camera:
Kaden Kessler’s Training Facility - New York.

“Again!” Alexis barked the order across the gym and Ally grit her teeth slightly, sweat sticking her hair to the back of her neck, she reached up and ran a hand across it, pulling a face as she felt the dampness of her hair against her skin.

“You deaf?” Alexis’ voice went up an octave or two as she yelled at Ally who shook her head and turned to duck under the top rope, standing on the apron she pulls back on the top rope flipping over it with a slingshot 450 landing heavily on her knees and forearms with a thud against the canvas.

She pulls back to sit up on her toes and takes a breath, shaking her head slightly obviously frustrated with her landing; she shakes her arms out at her sides, her forearms and elbows angry and red with friction burns up both where she has obviously been repeating the move for some time..

“Come on Ally-Cat!” Alexis claps her hands together and Ally looks over her shoulder at her, biting back on her jaw to keep her words to herself “You think you win a title and just slack off, is that it? Hard work is over?” Alexis shakes her head as she gets closer to the ring.

Ally pulls up to her feet, squaring her shoulders almost instinctively as Alexis reaches the ring and slaps her hand down on the apron with a small smirk; “Oh, so you think you’re big and bad now, huh?” Ally stares Alexis down for a long moment, before she sighs and shakes her head slowly, taking a half step back to symbolize backing down.

“Then do it AGAIN!” she points at the rope and Ally huffs slightly to herself, turning back to the ropes she against moves to the outside apron. She takes a moment to steady herself before repeating the move, still landing heavy in the ring a grimace of pain crossing her face as she does so.

“You wanna quit?” Alexis asks her, not yelling this time as Ally stays in her landing position for a moment before pulling back to sit on her knees, shaking her head; “Nope.” Alexis fights a smile off her face; “Then do it again.”

Ally slaps the canvas as she pushes herself back up to her feet, sweat dripping down her body now, as she moves back onto the apron, wiping her hands down her tights she reaches up and yanks on her ponytail tightening it as she tries to give her knees a couple of extra seconds reprieve..

“NOW ALLY!” Alexis raises her voice to a yell again and Ally yanks back on the rope a little too hard, causing her to land quicker than she meant to, slamming her knees first into the mat so she can’t even out the impact… As she lands she makes a slightly pained noise and instantly pushes up with her hands, half hopping around the ring for a moment as she tries to walk the sting of the slap against the ring off.

“Ally…” she turns and looks at Alexis, shaking her head quickly; “Don’t. I know… Focus… I let you get at me… Again…” she grits her teeth obviously frustrated as she walks across the ring and leans on the top rope, catching her breath and releasing a long slow breath, trying to refocus.

“Winning the title is only half the battle Ally…” Alexis’ voice carries across the ring and Ally nods slightly, running her hands down her cheeks and wiping the sweat away with a sigh “I know…”;

Alexis shakes her head with a frown “No, I don’t think you do… The other half is keeping it….”

Ally nods as she turns to looks at Alexis “I said I KNOW!” she moves to duck under the top rope “Let's just go again…..” but Alexis holds her hand up and shakes her head “No, part of training is knowing when to stop.. You’re done for today.”

“But…” Alexis shakes her head again; “No, you need to learn to get that temper under control… That doesn’t belong in this gym, save it for the ring.” Alexis turns and walks away as Ally shakes her head resting her forehead against her hands on the top rope with a sigh.
