Baked Ziti Servings: 8 Ingredients 1 pound ziti pasta 1 pound Italian sausage 1 onion, chopped 2 jars plain spaghetti sauce 6 ounces provolone cheese slices 1-1/2 cups sour cream 6 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese 2-1/2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Cook pasta according to directions on package. Drain. 3. While ziti is cooking, brown onion and sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. 4. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and add half of ziti to bottom. 5. Add provolone cheese, a layer of sour cream, and half of the sauce mixture. 6. Add layer of remaining ziti. Next comes the mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce. Top off with Parmesan cheese. 7. Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Garlic bread and Caesar salad make for great side dishes to complement this delicious Italian dish. |
