Cresent-Roll Calzones

Ingredients

1/2 lb ground beef or ground pork (ground sausage might be good too)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 package (8) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 4-oz package (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese

Procedure

In a medium skillet cook beef till brown. Drain off fat. Stir in pizza sauce.

Meanwhile, separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Pinch perforations to seal. On a floured surface roll each rectangle into a 7x5-inch rectangle. Spoon one-quarter of the meat mixture onto half of each rectangle. Sprinkle with cheese. Fold rectangles in half. Press edges to seal. Flute edges, if desired. Place calzones on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden brown. Makes 4 servings
