BC IMO. Better movie, better atmosphere, best use of phonecalls (Except MAYBE the opening of Scream), better setting.... It's borderline flawless IMO. And it scared me. AND it's more original Sidenote: Anyone know if that rumor that Halloween was originally a BC Sequel is true? |

I do love Halloween (it's one of my favorite films) but at least from a technical standpoint, Black Christmas is better. |

Hmm, after some thought I`ll have to go with Halloween as well. Although I still do love the original Black Christmas. |

Yeah, I've never heard of that rumor at all so I'll assume it's false. THis will surprise people but I...voted for the original Black Christmas. I do LIKE Halloween more but when it comes to technical aspects and originality, the way the story progressed, characters, lighting, and so on, Black Christmas is superior. Halloween is still amazing though. |

Well I did some research with google. The general concensus seems to be it WAS originally a very, very, VERY rough idea for a Black Christmas sequel but Bob Clarke gave the idea to John Carpenter as he didn't want to be pigeon holed into the horror genre I completely agree on BC being better on the technical aspects lol (Though I DO prefer it) |

The film gained a fairly decent cult following throughout the years after its release. The Black Christmas fan site considerably increased the film's modern popularity. The film is notable for being one of the first slasher films and inspiring films such as Friday the 13th and John Carpenter's Halloween. The film ranked No. 87 on Bravo's The 100 Scariest Movie Moments. Actor Steve Martin met Olivia Hussey at the premier of his movie Roxanne and he said she was in one of his favorite movies of all time. Hussey initially thought he was referring to Romeo and Juliet, but was surprised when Martin said it was Black Christmas, and that he had seen the film 27 times. |
